\B\CFF0000Dial\c\b button. Pressing this button dials the number to the right of it. It dials the prefix that you have set up in the Communications Setup area and then the number.
\B\CFF0000Hang-Up\c\b button. This button does exactly what you would think, it hangs the phone up.
\B\CFF0000Setup\c\b button. This button will take you to the Communications Setup screen. This is the same screen that you get to by pressing the setup button from the main EZ-Soft program.
\B\CFF0000Download\c\b button. This button is used to \P\KDOWNLOAD\kdownload\p files. It will download the file that you have selected from the computer you are currently connected to. You MUST enter the path and filename where you want the file to go. (i.e. C:\\DOWNLOAD\\NEWFILE.ZIP) Entering this would download the file 'NEWFILE.ZIP' and place it in the 'C:\\DOWNLOAD' directory. The directory that you download into MUST already exist. The download feature uses the XMODEM file transfer protocol. When the computer you are connected to asks how you want it to send the file, choose XMODEM. This is not the fastest or greatest file transfer protocol but it does the job very well. Future releases of EZ-Soft will probably include more choices.

\B\CFF0000Exit\c\b button. This button will return you to the main EZ-Soft program. It will not hang the phone up so if you are connected to another computer, please hang the phone up first.

The communications feature was added to make it a little easier for users to get updates and other information from the manufactures of their programs. It is by no means a full-featured communications program. If you are more comfortable with a communications program that you regularly use, I would recommend using it instead. It will probably have many more features and be easier to use. This feature is good however, for users who don't have a communications program and would like to get updates to their programs. You can enter any phone number into the Phone Number to Dial box and use it to connect to any computer system. You don't just have to use the default manufactures BBS number.
