  91.          If you use a wordprocessor frequently, you know how useful the
  92.          standard thesaurus included among its utilities is. It provides
  93.          you with a handful of synonyms that you use to better express
  94.          your thoughts or simply avoid repetition.

  96.          In many cases, however, your idea is not fully developed, or you
  97.          can't think of a suitable word to express it. You turn to your
  98.          conventional thesaurus for help . . . and you find that it is
  99.          insufficient to your needs.

  101.          YOU NEED A COMPLEMENTARY THESAURUS!

  103.          In these cases you need a thesaurus that places at your disposal

  105.          not only synonyms, but a wide range of conceptually related word

  117.          word thesaurus, which in book form would require 10/20 heavy

  162.          To print any of BesThes' DOC - REGISTER.DOC, BESTHES.DOC or
  163.        INSTALL.DOC - type at DOS command line:

  167.        Where C is the drive and DIR the directory where the file is
  168.          found. (Replace filename by the name of the file.)

  171.                                    INSTALLATION

  173.          Nothing is simpler than installing BesThes.
  174.  
  175.          BesThes consists of seven files:
  176.  
  177.          1) BESTHES.COM, 2) BESTHES.DIC, 3) BESTHES.CDF, 4) BESTHES.DOC,
  178.          5) INSTALL.DOC,  6)OMBUDSMA.TXT, and 7)REGISTER.DOC
  179.  
  180.          The first three are the operative ones, and must be together in
  181.          the same subdirectory. Also bear in mind that:
  182.  
  183.          1) The path cannot include extensions within the names of the
  184.          subdirectories, e.g.
  185.  
  186.          C:\WORDPROC.ENG\THESAURU\BESTHES.DIC - wrong.
  187.  
  188.          C:\WORDPROC\THESAURU\BESTHES.DIC - correct.
  189.  
  190.          2) The only workable drives are A, B and C, (if you have a DOS 6
  191.             DOUBLE-SPACED drive C you must copy BESTHES' files onto the
  192.             HOST drive of C).

  194.          D:\WORDPROC\THESAURU\BESTHES.DIC - wrong.

  196.          3) If you have a partitioned fixed disk, you must place BesThes
  197.             in the first partition.

  199.          4) A DOS v3.2, or subsequent, is required.

  201.          IMPORTANT! Don't change the names of BesThes' files.

  205.          BesThes may be loaded in the high memory, thus saving
  206.          conventional memory for other applications.

  210.                When calling it up for first time, BesThes may report that
  211.          its files are too fragmented. In this case, you must do the
  212.          following:

  216.          1) Rename the BesThes operative files.

  218.          2) Copy, or PKUNZIP for a second time the BesThes operative
  219.             files onto your fixed disk. Since the overly fragmented area
  220.             of your disk is now filled with the renamed files, the new
  221.             ones will be copied onto another area. (It doesn't matter if
  222.             you copy them in the same subdirectory or in a different
  223.             one.)

  225.          3) Try BesThes again. If it works, delete the renamed files,
  226.             and enjoy BesThes. If it doesn't - which is highly
  227.             improbable, repeat the procedure, copying BesThes onto a
  228.             third area of your disk.

  233.          You don't have to know anything about BesThes in order to enjoy
  234.          it. Each BesThes screen includes a complete description of all
  235.          relevant instructions.

  252.          some users. We have tested Besthes successfully with QEMM
  253.          7.04, which is avalaible to all QEMM 7 users through bulletin

  255.          well as directly from QuarterDeck Office Systems.

  263.          its code, which can be the result of various causes, will lead
