  5.         PC-FASTYPE - Quick HELP Facility -- Keyboard Helpers Menu
  6.  
  7.      The purpose of the Keyboard Helpers Menu is to let you select various
  8. options affecting the screen displayed keyboard and to 'toggle' them ON or
  9. OFF.
  10.  
  11.      Each time you press a function key you will reverse the previous
  12. setting of the option.  If it's ON you'll turn it OFF, if it was OFF
  13. you'll turn it ON.
  14.  
  15.      Each helper selected keeps its setting throughout all the drills and
  16. exercises you select to type.  They are not reset unless you change them,
  17. or restart PC-FASTYPE.  You can set as many helpers as you want to.

  26. The KEYBOARD HELPERS Menu selections are described as follows:

  28. ** Begin Typing ---------------- F10 **
  29.       Displays the Screen Keyboard and lets you begin typing any drill or
  30.       exercise you selected.

  32. ** HELP! Facility --------------- F1 **
  33.       Call up the Quick HELP Facility for PC-FASTYPE.
  34.  
  35. ** Quiet Mode ------------------- F2 **
  36.       When QUIET mode is turned ON (check-marked), all PC speaker sounds
  37.       will be suppressed; when it is turned OFF (no checkmark), all
  38.       speaker sounds will be available.

  40. ** Hidden Keys ------------------ F3 **
  41.       When this feature is turned ON, all of the typeable letters and
  42.       characters on the screen keyboard keycaps will disappear.  During
  43.       drills, the character you have to type will pop up on its displayed
  44.       keycap. During exercises, the delayed prompt will cause the key to
  45.       pop up after a short period of time has elapsed.

  48. ** Outline HOME Keys ------------ F4 **
  49.       When this feature is turned on, boxes will be drawn around the ASDF
  50.       and JKL; "home" keys to help you find where to place the tips of
  51.       your fingers.  This feature is very desirable for use with the
  52.       Hidden Key option.

  54. ** 'BEEP' Keystroke Errors ------ F5 **
  55.       This option enables a sound to emitted from the speaker when you
  56.       make a typing mistake.  You can turn this feature ON or OFF.
  57.       Normally it's on.

  59. ** Align Finger Positions ------- F6 **
  60.       This option draws vertical lines on the screen displayed keyboard to
  61.       separate the keys each finger controls during typing.

  70. ** Word Wrap During Exercises --- F7 **
  71.       If you want more practice using the ENTER key during exercises, you
  72.       can turn Word Wrap OFF.  This will cause a  symbol to be placed at
  73.       the end of each line for you to type - this symbol represents the
  74.       ENTER KEY, and you must press it to move the cursor to the first
  75.       character of the next line. With Word Wrap turned ON, which is the
  76.       normal setting, the symbol will not appear, so you can type either
  77.       the ENTER key for a carriage return, or simply press the space bar.
  78.       Whichever character you type will be counted as one keystroke.

  80. ** Reset Keyboard Helpers ------- F8 **
  81.       This feature RESETS all keyboard helpers previously set ON or OFF
  82.       using the Keyboard Helpers Menu.  One exception, QUIET Mode will NOT
  83.       be turned OFF if you earlier set it ON.

  92. ** Change Drill Count ----------- F9 **
  93.       This selection will display a pop-up dialog box asking you to type
  94.       in a new drill count.  It sets the number of characters you will
  95.       have to type during any drill selected from the Beginner Drills
  96.       Menu.

  98. ** Return to Previous Menu ------ <- **
  99.       Display the previous menu which is the Advanced Exercises Menu.

  101. ** Display MAIN Menu ------------ -> **
  102.       This selection re-displays PC-FASTYPE's Main Menu.
