  2. Enter your shift number, your cash register number and your starting 
  3. cash amount, then press the Esc key. In a  multiuser  system  it  is 
  4. imperative that you enter the correct cash register number.

  6. @LOGON                                                               
  7. PASSWORD - Is a 10 character field. The original  preset  password   
  8. is the word PASSWORD, typed all in capitol letters. In a  multiuser  
  9. system, each computer can have a different set of passwords.         
  10.                                                                      
  11. Sales Register III is a software package that will enable  an  IBM   
  12. compatible computer to operate like an electronic  cash  register,   
  13. plus much more.                                                      
  14. The latest upgrade with your company name & address will be sent to  
  15. you, when you register this software.

  20. MAIN MENU - To make a bar selection, across the top, press the right 
  21. or left arrow key. To make a pulldown menu selection, enter the menu 
  22. selection number, or press the down or up  arrow  key, to  highlight 
  23. the menu selection, then press enter.                                
  24. The menu selections are self explanatory.                            
  25. Press the Esc key to exit from a menu.

  27. To make a menu selection, enter a number, use the up or down arrow   
  28. key or a mouse to position the highlight over a choice  and  press   
  29. enter or click the left mouse button.                                
  30. The menu selections are self explanatory.

  32. The user may view the entire menu file list by using the cursor keys,
  33. the WordStar control keys, the mouse within the window, or the  mouse
  34. on the scroll bar to scroll up and down through  the  menu  file. The
  35. Home key will move to the top of the menu and the End key  will  move
  36. to the bottom of the menu. The PgDn and PgUp keys will jump a  window
  37. full at a time.

  49. The user may type in the item number and press enter to select  that 
  50. menu item.

  53. USING A MOUSE:

  55. to scroll up place the mouse cursor on the scroll bar (right vertical
  56. bar on the menu window frame) move the mouse cursor all the way up to
  57. the arrow and press the left mouse button to move up  one. Place  the
  58. mouse cursor below the arrow and above the scroll bar  highlight  and
  59. press the left mouse button to move up one page.                     
  60. to scroll down place the mouse cursor on the scroll bar (right verti-
  61. cal bar on the menu window frame) move the mouse cursor all  the  way
  62. down to the arrow and press the left mouse button to move  down  one.
  63. Place the mouse cursor above the arrow and below the scroll bar high-
  64. light and press the left mouse button to move down one page.

  66. To select a menu item place the mouse cursor inside  the  window  and
  67. highlight the item, then press the right mouse button.               
  68. To exit without selection, press the esc key.

  70. PREPARE DATA FILES FOR SENDING - You must prepare your data files for
  71. sending, before you can send them by modem to another location.  When
  72. you make this selection all your Sales Register data  files  will  be
  73. compressed into a single file. If you want to print sales reports  at
  74. the remote location, you must prepare your data files before you  re-
  75. set your sales reports.                                              
  76. SEND DATA FILES - Make this selection to send your Sales Register III
  77. data files to another location, by modem. Please refer to the EZ Com.
  78. user's manual for details about sending & receiving files.
