  11.        └─────-PCZONE                       directory or even to copy to
  12.               └─────-COMPO                 your hard drive, please refer
  13.                      ├──────ENTRIES        to the information below.

  18. Installing DOOM files from CD.
  19. ------------------------------
  20.  
  21. First things first. Locate the directory containing the file you wish to
  22. install. This bit's easy. Say, for instance, I wanted a file called :-
  23.  
  24.        FILE.ZIP
  25.  
  26. from the directory :-
  27.  
  28.        \DOOM\PCZONE\COMPO\ENTRIES
  29.  
  30. you should locate your DOOM directory on your hard disk, it may be :-
  31.  
  32.        C:\GAMES\DOOM
  33.  
  34. or something like
  35.  
  36.        D:\DOOM
  37.  
  38. inside your DOOM directory create a directory for storing these files
  39. by typing :-
  40.  
  41.        MD C:\GAMES\DOOM\FILES
  42.  
  43. or if D: is your hard drive
  44. and DOOM is at D:\DOOM...
  45.  
  46.        MD D:\DOOM\FILES
  47.  
  48. this creates the 'FILES' directory inside directory 'DOOM'.

  51. Okay, let's take a breather here. You might want to go for a walk, stretch 
  52. your legs and relax a little before we go on. Well, off you go...

  54. Okay so you're back, then if you're sitting comfortably we'll begin again. 
  55. Enter your files directory by typing :-

  57.        C:
  58.  
  59. or if D: is your drive for DOOM, then
  60.  
  61.        D:
  62.  
  63. followed on the next line by
  64.  
  65.        CD\GAMES\DOOM\FILES
  66.  
  67. or alternatively
  68.  
  69.        CD\DOOM\FILES    
  70.  
  71. if that's where it's at.
  72. Now comes the biggie. Just type :-
  73.  
  74.        PKUNZIP D:\DOOM\PCZONE\COMPO\ENTRIES\FILE.ZIP
  75.  
  76. where 'D:' represents your CDROM drive
  77. So, if your CD drive is E: for instance, just type :-
  78.  
  79.        PKUNZIP E:\DOOM\PCZONE\COMPO\ENTRIES\FILE.ZIP
  80.  
  81. Remember to read any associated text files which may be found in the .ZIP 
  82. archive for further instructions as to how to make use of these new files 
  83. for DOOM.

  85. To COPY any file from the CD, follow the above procedure, replacing the
  86. 'PKUNZIP' command with that of 'COPY'.
