  12. This version of Windows Media Player is intended for users of Windows 98 and Windows 2000.

  14. Microsoft do not recommend the installation of Windows Media Player 7 on Windows 95 or NT4 Operating Systems. We regret that neither PC Zone nor Microsoft can offer support for this product for users of these Operating Systems.

  16. 2. Driver Incompatibility With Easy CD Creator 3.5

  18. If you are running Windows 2000 and have Adaptec Easy CD Creator 3.5 installed, the following applies:

  21. Microsoft is aware of driver compatibility issues caused by installing Windows Media Player 7 on a computer running Windows 2000 that has Adaptec Easy CD Creator 3.5 installed.

  23. If you fail to follow the instructions below, your machine may fail to boot properly. If you have Easy CD Creator 3.5 installed with Windows 2000, do one of the following:

  25. (a) To use Windows Media Player 7, remove Easy CD Creator 3.5 BEFORE installing the media player.
  26. (b) Upgrade to the latest version of Easy CD Creator BEFORE installing the media player.
  27. (c) During installation of the media player, clear the check box for "Adaptec CD-Burning Plug-in" to prevent this feature being installed.
