  9. CD Contents

  11. The CD comprises the following components:
  12. * The Launcher                 (v5.0)
  13. * Netscape Communicator        (v4.6 for Windows 95/98 & NT4)

  15. The CD is structured as follows:

  17. Win95_nt     - Windows 95/98 & NT4 installation files
  18.   Netscape   - Windows 95/98 & NT4 Netscape Communicator installation files
  19.   Launcher   - Windows 95/98 & NT4 Launcher installation files
  20.     Full     - Windows 95/98 & NT4 Launcher full installation files

  23. Installation
  24. ------------
  25. To begin installation, double-click on setup.exe in the CD root directory. This will check that you are using Windows 95/98 or NT4 operating system.

  27. The installation allows you to choose which components you wish to install. To register your account with NetscapeOnline you must install the Launcher component and have an internet browser installed. If you already have Netscape Communicator 4.6 installed you need not reinstall the browser.

If you have already installed Netscape Communicator 4.6, the main installer screen will detect it as being installed and disable the installation option. If you wish to reinstall Netscape Communicator 4.6 manually you can do so by double-clicking on setup.exe in the Netscape directory. For further information about Netscape Communicator, see the readme.txt file in the Netscape directory.

  32. Disk Space Requirements

  35. * Netscape Communicator 4.6
  36. The default installation of Netscape Communicator 4.6, including RealPlayer G2, requires approximately 45MB of disk space. A custom install option is available during the installation process. Note that a reboot is required during installation of Netscape Communicator.

  39. 3-9MB on the drive of your choice.  During installation, an extra 2MB is required on the drive containing Windows. Note that a reboot may be required during the installation.
