  20. For apparent unlock, or either RX or TX failure, suspect not PLL unlock,
  21. but low RX or TX XTAL activity.  Adding or replacing circuit components and
  22. retuning the oscillator will cure the problem.

  24. For No RX

  26. Suspect low XTAL activity for X1 on the RX TX unit.  At Q1 add 7-12 pf bas
  27. to emitter.  At Q5 replace L5, 22 uh with a 15 uh choke, L40-1501-05.
  28. Adjust TC1 for 42.6 MHz in RX.

  30. For no TX

  32. Suspect low XTAL activity for X2.  At Q4 add 7-12 pf bas to emitter.
  33. Replace L15, 22 uh with a 15 uh choke, L40-1501-05.  Adjust TC2 for exact
  34. 146 MHz transmit frequency.  At the base of Q4, also check L2 for
  35. intermittent shorting against the Display unit mounting screw.
