  17. SUBJECT: RIT MODIFICATION

  20.    We have had a few reports of the TS-820 RIT tuning being
  21.    "rubbery". The following information will solve this.
  22.    
  23.    HOW TO MODIFY
  24.    
  25.    1. Remove resistor R27 (lK ohm) on AF-AVR UNIT (X49-1080-00).
  26.    
  27.    2. Install a 10K ohm resistor on foil side of AF-AVR UNIT
  28.         --- see Figure 1.
  29.         
  30.    3. Install a lKohm resistor on RIT control --- see Figure 2.
  31.    
  32.    4. Install a capacitor (3.3uF - 10uF) between RIT control and
  33.       ground --- see Figure 2.
  34.         
  35.    5. Adjust VR-2 on AF-AVR UNIT (X49-1080-00) for the same
  36.       frequency as the center position of the RIT control.
