We are providing you with this shareware program using DOS 2.0
or higher so you can get started now improving your Morse Code speed.
We believe this program to be the best code program value available.
It does everything! Calibrates and varies speed from 0 to 99 wpm,
tone and spacing. Sends letters, numbers, punctuation, prosigns and
traditional learning groups as individual characters or groups,
randomly or from your keyboard or personally developed file. Quiz
function tests recognition, calculates score, and remembers problem
characters for further exercise. Library generates amateur words, ham
words, call signs, DX call signs, and hundreds of hours of QSO's.
Time of sending can be set to simulate tests.
You will note that the program is fairly easy to understand.
Obviously, to view the files available for use in the program's
file section (which contains many of the features listed above),
just type in A:, then DIR. To execute, type in A:, then SM.
If you are in the file mode, to call up your file, first select NAME
and type the requested file name in, then DOIT. If you need help
while in the program, just press the F1 or HELP key.
In our latest full-featured versions, many improvements have
resulted. We include 101 Code/Theory Exam Passing Tips,
Adventures in Morse Code, and many other new features and
sub-programs (see CATALOG.dat file for details). Registration will
entitle you to receive this latest program and its manual (to include
hot line help), as well as be notified of new improvements. We would
appreciate your registering if you like this program. It guarantees
you our support, ensures you that you will know about updates, bugs,
and fixes, as well as allows us to make our systems even better. For

Please feel free to write us about the program. Any problems
you have, or ideas you have are greatly welcome input.
For your information, the sm.cnf file contains default settings
that you may change to suit you. The file is re-written when you
exit, so if you run from floppy disk, be sure to leave it in the
drive until you exit. If you are running from hard disk,
be advised that the program looks for the config file
in the current directory, so always change to the same
directory before starting the program, or the program
will create a new config file with the default settings.
If this happens, simple exit the program and 'cd' to the
directory where the config file is, the re-start the program.
