CALLSIGN will search over 750,000 callsigns both current & previous for US ham
radio operator Call Signs. Callsign will find the following data when you
enter a Name, Previous Call Sign, Current Call Sign, State, City or Zip Code:
Operators Current Callsign
A note if the input was a previous Call Sign
Operators Full Name
Operators Street, City, State, & Zip Code
Operators Class of License
Expiration Date of Operators License
Birthdate of Operator
Callsign may be run direct from CDVIEW or may be run externally from the CD-ROM
Callsign will perform partial searches if you use the symbol (/) in front of a
CALL or NAME entry. Examples: /N3D or /JONES will display all CALLS starting
N3D?? or all NAMES starting with JONES??????. Zip Codes are always on partial.
Callsign may be run from your hard drive (requires 125 Megabytes of space).
* MS-DOS 3.2 to 6.x users should read the next paragraph of instructions.

If you experience difficulty running CALLSIGN please exit CDVIEW.EXE and run
DOS6.BAT which will automatically run CALLSIGN. (Use for Dos 3.2 - Dos 6.x)
CALLSIGN.EXE does not require expanded memory to run. EMM386.EXE does simulate
expanded memory within extended memory. This could cause memory conflicts when
CALLSIGN.EXE tries to page itself in and out of memory and cause the program to
lose its place. You may exit CDVIEW.EXE and use DOS6.BAT file to run CALLSIGN.
This will tell CALLSIGN to restrict itself to 640K and NOT USE expanded memory.
CALLSIGN.EXE is written and compiled with Clipper. Clipper contains an built
in virtual memory manager which allows a program larger than 640k to run
within 640k of memory or smaller. The less memory available the more Clipper
will swap pages in and out of memory. This will slow the program execution
speed slightly. Clipper will use as much memory as is available at load time,
including up to 8MB of expanded memory following the Lotus-Intel-Microsoft
(LIM) Expanded Memory Specification version 3.2 or higher.
The command SET CLIPPER=//e:0 //swappath:C: tells your system to perform the
above function, and uses your C: hard drive for the SWAPPFILE functions.
