  5. INSTALLATION PROCEDURES:
  6.  
  7. To install the HEAT Beta Client, double click the "Setup.exe".
  8. Follow this standard installation procedure:
  9.  
  10.     When prompted, click on "Yes" to confirm the installation
  11.     of HEAT.
  12.  
  13.     At the disclaimer dialogue, click on "Next" to advance.
  14.  
  15.     Next, specify the path where the HEAT Beta Client will
  16.     reside (or use the default C:\PROGRAM FILES\HEAT
  17.     folder).  Click on "Next" to advance.
  18.  
  19.     The set-up of the HEAT Beta Client is now complete!

  22. LAUNCHING HEAT BETA CLIENT FOR THE FIRST TIME:
  23.  
  24.     From the Start Menu, open "Programs", select the "Heat" folder,
  25.     then click on the "WWW.HEAT.NET.Login" menu selection.
  26.  
  27.     At the HEAT Login page, click on the "Log In" button directly 
  28.     beneath the HEAT logo.
  29.     A text box will appear prompting entry of the Name and Password 
  30.     that you selected when you registered at www.heat.net/reg

  33. INSTALLING THE DEMOS INCLUDED ON THE HEAT CD:
  34.  
  35.     A few of the demo's on this CD contain files that have 
  36.     been compressed using WinZip.      If you don't have 
  37.     WinZip loaded on your computer, you can purchase a 
  38.     full version or download a free evaluation copy
  39.     at http://www.winzip.com.

  42. To install the Blood Demo:
  43.  
  44.     From the Start Menu, select Programs, and Windows Explorer.  
  45.     Create a new directory on your computer's hard drive named 
  46.     Blood.  Use Explorer to go back the the HEAT disk and open
  47.     the Blood folder.  Select the file Blood.exe by clicking on it 
  48.     once.  Copy the file Blood.exe to the Blood directory on your 
  49.     computer's hard drive by using the pull down menu and selecting 
  50.     Edit, Copy and then opening the Blood directory on your 
  51.     computer's hard drive, and selecting Edit Paste from the pull 
  52.     down menu. Double click on the Blood.exe file located in the
  53.     Blood directory on your computer's hard drive to install the 
  54.     Blood demo.

  60. To install the Duke Nukem 3D Demo:

  62.     In Windows Explorer, open the folder Duke3d.  Double 
  63.     click on the file 3dduke13.zip.  If you have already loaded 
  64.     WinZip, your computer will begin the extraction process.
  65.     In WinZip, select Extract from the top menus.  Follow the 
  66.     onscreen instructions to install the files on your computer's
  67.     hard drive.  Open the directory where you have placed the 
  68.     extracted Duke Nukem 3D files.  Double click on the file 
  69.     install.exe.  Follow the onscreen instructions to complete
  70.     the installation.

  76. To install the Heroes of Might and Magic II Demo:

  78.     From the Start Menu, select Programs, and Windows Explorer.  
  79.     Create a new directory on your computer's hard drive named 
  80.     h2demo.  Use Explorer to go back the the HEAT disk and open
  81.     the H2Demo folder.  Select the file h2demo.exe by clicking 
  82.     on it once.  Copy the file h2demo.exe to the h2demo directory 
  83.     on your computer's hard drive by using the pull down menu and 
  84.     selecting Edit, Copy and then opening the h2demo directory on 
  85.     your computer's hard drive, and selecting Edit Paste from the 
  86.     pull down menu. Double click on the h2demo.exe file located 
  87.     in the    h2demo directory on your computer's hard drive to 
  88.     install the Heros of Might and Magic 2 demo.

  102.     Mw2demo.  Use Explorer to go back the the HEAT disk and open
  103.     the Mech2Demo folder.  Select the file mech2dem.exe by clicking 
  104.     on it once.  Copy the file mech2dem.exe to the Mw2demo directory 
  105.     on your computer's hard drive by using the pull down menu and 
  106.     selecting Edit, Copy and then opening the Mw2demo directory on 
  107.     your computer's hard drive, and selecting Edit Paste from the 
  108.     pull down menu. Double click on the mech2dem.exe file located 
  109.     in the Mw2demo directory on your computer's hard drive to install 
  110.     the MechWarrior 2 demo.
