  3. Introduction
  4. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  5. Welcome to MM Player 3.0, an easy-to-use multimedia player for Windows 95 and
  6. NT 4.0. With MM Player, browsing your collection of media files, such as MIDI
  7. and Wave files, and Compact Discs is very easy.
  8.  
  9. This program includes an easy-to-use, yet powerful, Play List feature which 
  10. allows you to play your favorite media files while you are working in other 
  11. applications. This feature is very customizable; you can for example choose 
  12. to play the items in random order or in a continuous loop.
  13.  
  14. MM Player is a must-have for playing and organizing your media files.
  15.  
  16. NOTE: Please press and hold the Control key to select multiple items in the
  17. Play List, File List and the CD Audio List
  18.  
  19. Installing
  20. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  21. Please install MM Player by running the SETUP.EXE file. The setup program will
  22. automatically copy all the necessary files to the directory of your choice and
  23. will also add some shortcuts to your start menu. In the unlikely event that
  24. you would like to uninstall this program, this feature is also supported using
  25. the standard Install / Uninstall tab of the Control Panel. For your
  26. information, MM Player does not change the Registry in any way (unless you
  27. choose to make MM Player your default player for some file type) and does not
  28. alter any other directory other than its own. In other words, no files will
  29. be copied to the Windows, System or any other directory on your harddrive other
  30. than MM Player's own directory.

  32. Registering MM Player
  33. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34. MM Player is distributed under the shareware concept, which means that you may
  35. try this software program for 30 days. If you then would like to register, then
  36. please register by paying the registration fee of $15 to the author.
  37. Registering is very easy; you can pay either by sending the cash directly to
  38. the author or registering using your credit card on the Internet. You will then
  39. receive a registration code which will "unlock" the program. Please see the
  40. help file for more information.
