  33.     General Overview

  35.     GIF_view  is a  program allows you to view  all images which
  36.     data are  stored  by the  GIF format  as well as to  convert
  37.     them into an IFF-ILBM file.
  38.  
  39.     Features:
  40.      - high speed and small amount of required memory.
  41.      - working on  PAL  system as well as  NTSC  ones.
  42.      - scrolling  and  overscan  to play with images bigger than
  43.        the screen size.
  44.      - use  of the  HAM  view-mode  to  match  colors.
  45.      - annoying  left  border  color  distorsion  avoided during
  46.        the HAM scrolling.
  47.      - option  to  force  high  resolution  rendering.
  48.      - fully settable time-out mechanism (background conversions
  49.        and "slide  show" applications).
  50.      - ability  to convert  GIF file  to  an equivalent IFF-ILBM
  51.        one.
  52.      - runnable only from CLI.
  53.      - it requires as  software  support the "arp.library".
  54.      - no  particular  hardware  is required.
