  1. Here is another port of the more or less famous ARC archiver for AmigaDOS.
  2. It has nothing to do with the rather old AmigaArc V0.23, but is based on
  3. Unix ARC V5.12. Refer to the original ARC doc for any questions.

  15. BTW: I didn't ported this because I wanted that it is used. LHARC is MUCH
  16. better than ARC, even than this ARC, so please: USE *LHARC* (or LZ)
  17. whenever possible. This ARC is only intended for using if you have no other
  18. possibility...

  24.  little has changed, I just wanted to do recompile with Lettuce V5.1 and
  25.  didn't got the AmigaARC source, so I ported UnixARC myself. Perhaps I'll
  26.  speed things up by writing some stuff in Assembler...

  28. Crunching is about 2* as fast as AmigaARC
  29. Decrunching is a little bit slower than PXARC, but still much faster than
  30. AmigaARC

  36. - removed Squeeze-algorithem (it's almost never used) -> about 2*faster!
