  1. This is an official release of GPFax 2.30 update patches.
  2.  
  3. There are several patch file available.
  4.  
  5. GPF201A230.lha    Updates GPFax generic version 2.01 2/5/92 to 2.30
  6. GPF201B230.lha    Updates GPFax generic version 2.01 10/6/92 to 2.30
  7. GPF201S230.lha    Updates GPFax SUPRA version 2.01 2/5/92 to 2.30
  8. GPF221G230.lha    Updates GPFax generic version 2.21 to 2.30
  9. GPF221S230.lha    Updates GPFax SUPRA version 2.21 2/5/92 to 2.30

  11. Obtain the correct version and patch a COPY of your original disk or
  12. harddrive installed program.
  13.

  15. This archive contains the 2.30 updates for GPFax versions 2.01 as supplied by
  16. Supra with their modems and 'generic' versions from GPSoftware or Supra.
  17.  
  18. This patch file patches GPFax Generic versions 2.01 2/5/92
  19.  
  20. The GPFax printer driver and GPFax font was updated for version 2.21. This
  21. is also included in this archive.
  22.  
  23. If you have not previously updated your printer driver, MAKE SURE you are
  24.  using this new driver of fax printing will not work!
  25.  
  26. Also provided in the archive is a new GPFax Icon with updated tooltypes.

  30. ENSURE YOU ARE WORKING WITH A COPY OF YOUR ORIGINAL PROGRAM.

  33. To apply the patch, execute the following line from the CLI
  34.  
  35.     Copy GPFax:GPFAX to RAM:
  36.  
  37.     CD RAM:
  38.  
  39.     lpatch -oGPFax230 -p<patchname> GPFax
  40.  
  41. This will create the new version of GPFax 2.30 as file GPFax230. 
  42. Then copy the file GPFax230 to your GPFAX: directory as GPFax.

  44.     copy GPFax230 to GPFAX:GPFax 
  45.  
  46.  
  47. THEN READ THE Notes230 file for details of revisions.
  48.  
  49. If you cannot update your version of GPFax, please specifically check
  50. the version number.  GPFax sold by Supra as a standa alone product is
  51. usually the GENERIC version NOT the SUPRA version.

  53. If you still cannot update your version, you may return your original disk
  54. to us plus $25 and we will update your disk and return by air mail postage.

  60. Example 1:    To create a new version of the SUPRA version of GPFax from
  61.         a previous 2.21 version use

  63.             lpatch -oGPFax230 -p221S230.pch GPFax

  66. Example 2:    To create a new version of the SUPRA version of GPFax from
  67.         a previous 2.01 version use
  68.  
  69.             lpatch -oGPFax230 -p201S230.pch GPFax

  72. Example 3:    To create a new version of the GENERIC version of GPFax from
  73.         a previous 2.21 version use

  79.         version 2.01 dated 2.5.92 use
