  8. Anyone may copy and distribute verbatim copies of this license, however
  9. changing it is not permitted.

  11. C-Light is a copyrighted software program written by Ronald A. Peterson
  12. which includes the software programs titled: C-LightI (V1.03), C-LightII
  13. (V1.06), View, Video, MakeANIM, PlayANIM, See3D, and accompanying 
  14. documentation.  The copy of the version 1.06 release of C-Light that 
  15. you now possess is freely redistributable subject to the following 
  16. restrictions:

  19.             COPYING POLICIES

  21. A. You may copy and distribute verbatim copies of C-Light as you receive
  22. it, in any medium, provided that all recipients receive a copy of this
  23. license agreement.

  25. B. You may not copy, sublicense, distribute or transfer C-Light    in any
  26. commercial product without the written consent of the Author, Ronald A.
  27. Peterson.

  29. C. You may not charge any fees for copying or distributing C-Light (except
  30. those currently considered reasonable for media and handling in distributing
  31. freely redistributable software.)

  33. D. You may not copy, sublicense, distribute or transfer C-Light    except as 
  34. expressly provided under this License Agreement.  Any attempt otherwise to 
  35. copy, sublicense, distribute or transfer C-Light is void and your rights to 
  36. use C-Light under this License agreement shall be automatically terminated.

  38. E. This license agreement applies ONLY to the 1.06 version of the C-Light 
  39. software.  It does NOT apply to any other version including possible
  40. future releases.  If future releases are made available in freely
  41. redistributable form a specifically appropriate license agreement will 
  42. accompany them.

  46.             CONTRIBUTIONS

  48. A. All contributions will be used for program development and maintenance.
  49.  
  50. B. Any user who sends a contribution to Peterson Enterprises will be added
  51. to a list of registered users.  (Currently over 1000 copies of C-Light
  52. have been distributed world-wide.)  This list will be used to distribute
  53. enhancements, bug fixes and announcements of future software.
  54.  
  55. C. C-Light may be obtained from Peterson Enterprises for a contribution 
  56. of $25.00 in North America (please increase accordingly for over-seas 
  57. orders.)  This will register you as a user and provide you with the 
  58. following items:
  59.  
  60.    * A 100 page, spiral bound, users manual complete with instructions for 
  61.      getting started, a tutorial, a reference section, and tips and tricks
  62.      for using C-Light.
  63.  
  64.    * Two disks containing the entire C-Light raytracing/animation system as
  65.      well as: 
  66.          - Example image files of objects
  67.          - Demo pictures
  68.          - Demo animations
  69.          - Demo stereoscopic picture
  70.          - C source code for creating image files from your own programs
  71.          - Online Documentation
  72.  
  73.    * Information on future enhancements/releases of C-Light.

  75. If you just want to add your name to the distribution list to insure
  76. continued maintainence, send a suggested contribution of $15.00.
