These two files demonstrate hierarchical motion paths ("Moon" around
"planet;" "Planet" around "sun." In the smaller one, the "moon" appears
yellowish (with a flicker of red). As near as I can remember, I did not
change the coloration of anything (except the background illumination) from
one animation to the next. I think the off-color of the moon is strictly due
to the limitations of HAM mode (ie, red and green were added in sufficient
quantities, but blue was never given enough favor). At least, more due to
said limitations of HAM than the limitations of the ray-tracer (Sculpt/
Animate 3D). It would be nice if you could stop the animation or even slow
it down at select points.. But currently I know of no such tool.
Probably the closest to a "meaningful" animation I've managed to date.
Frames are, I think, at 30 per second. The larger is actually, if I remember
correctly, full-screen (mostly constant black space, so it didn't take up so
much room).
(For what it's worth) --- Richard Rauch.
