  89.     Congratulations, you have a shareware copy of PETER'S AIRPLANES. You

  162.     Peter's Airplanes requires an IBM compatible computer with at least
  163. 512K of memory, a VGA display and a Microsoft compatible mouse. The
  164. program installation process is quite easy. (Users obtaining .ZIP files
  165. from the Internet or a BBS can skip this installation section.)
  166.     First, make a backup copy of your Peter's Airplanes program disk. If
  167. necessary consult your PC-DOS/MS-DOS manual for a description of the
  168. DISKCOPY command. Save the original program disk in a safe place and use
  169. the copy as the working program disk.
  170.     Second, while it is possible to use Peter's Airplanes on a floppy
  171. disk system, a hard disk system is a necessity for reasonable speed and
  172. storing a number of pictures your child has created. To install Peter's
  173. Airplanes on a hard disk use the following steps:
  174.  
  175.     1. Insert the floppy disk in your computer in drive A. (or B if
  176.        necessary)
  177.     2. Type A: (or B:)
  178.     3. Type INSTALL A C (or INSTALL B C)
  179.  
  180.     Any hard drive letters can be used, for example INSTALL B D will
  181. install the program from floppy drive B to hard drive D. The
  182. installation will create a directory called PETER1 on your hard drive
  183. and you will need to enter a CD\PETER1 to change to the Peter's
  184. Airplanes directory before running the program. Once installed just type
  185. PETER to start the program. If your computer gives a series of beeps
  186. when you run Peter's Airplanes it is probably because it cannot find the
  187. image files it needs to run, and other problems may be showing up as
  188. well. All the files for Peter's Airplanes need to be in the same
  189. directory for the program to operate successfully.

  191.     Peter's Warbirds is a DOS program and should be run in DOS mode, ie.
  192. started from the C:> (or D:>) prompt. Running Peter's Airplanes from
  193. Windows may cause some problems. In addition running from a compressed
  194. hard disk may cause problems.
