  12. Span-It! is shareware.  You may try the program free of charge and may 
  13. make copies for others.  If you continue to play Span-It!, a $15 registration
  14. fee is required.  This program may be distributed freely or for a nominal media
  15. charge (less than $5) provided that no modifications are made to any files. 
  16. Authenticity may be validated for free by the program's author via. SASE for 
  17. a limited time.  For registration information, see the file REGISTER.TXT or 
  18. REGISTRATION under the HELP menu.

  27. Instructions:

  29. The following example describes how to install Span-It! in the directory
  30. C:\SPANIT from the A: drive.  If you are installing from a different 
  31. path, simply replace "A:" with the correct path name below (For Example "B:").  
  32.  
  33. ATTENTION 80286 OWNERS -- spanit.exe is compiled for 80386's and above.
  34.      If you need to run Span-It! on a 286, replace spanit.exe with span286.exe
  35.      in step 4 below.

  37. Installation Example:
  38.  
  39. 1.  Create a directory for Span-It! from DOS.
  40.  
  41. A:\> mkdir c:\spanit
  42.  
  43. 2.  Copy all the files from this directory into the SPANIT directory
  44.  
  45. A:\> copy *.* c:\spanit 
  46.  
  47. 3.  Start Windows 3.1
  48.  
  49. A:\> win
  50.  
  51. 4.  Add the Span-It! Icon to the folder of your choice.
  52.  
  53.     a.  Select the folder where you want Span-It! to reside.  
  54.  
  55.     (Perhaps the APPLICATIONS folder)
  56.  
  57.     b.  From the Program Manager Menu, select File | New 
  58.  
  59.     c.  Select Program Item for the New Program Object and click on OK.
  60.  
  61.     d.  Fill in the dialog box information pointing to spanit.exe.
  62.  
  63.           Description:  Span-It! 
  64.          Command Line:  c:\spanit\spanit.exe
  65.     Working Directory:  c:\spanit
  66.          Shortcut Key:  none
  67.         Run Minimized:  (Leave blank)

  69.      e.  Select OK.

  71.      f.  The wonderful Span-It! icon should be ready to launch Span-It!

  73. 5.   After trying the program, please see the registration information 
  74.      under HELP.  If for some reason your system does not provide help, 
  75.      registration information is available from the batch file register.bat.
