  1. Thank you for selecting WinCraps!

  3. This program runs in a Windows 3.x environment.  The program files have 
  4. been compressed and will not run without having first been installed to 
  5. another location.

  7. To install WinCraps:
  8.  
  9. - Start your Windows Program Manager
  10. - From the FILE menu, select RUN
  11.  
  12. - If you have a game disk,
  13.     - Place it in your A or B drive
  14.     - Enter A:SETUP (or B:SETUP)
  15.  
  16. - If you don't have a game disk,
  17.     - Enter the path to the game files and SETUP
  18.     - i.e. C:\UNZIPPED\SETUP
  19.  
  20. The Setup program will ask you for the directory in which to install the
  21. game (with a default of C:\WINCRAPS).  A Program Manager Group and game
  22. file icons will also be created.
  23.  
  24. During the installation several system files are loaded which you may or
  25. may not already have.  If any of these files are present and write
  26. protected or in use, a warning message will appear so stating.  This is
  27. just a notice - installation will continue when you acknowledge the
  28. message.

  30. Note:  WinCraps requires the file VBRUN300.DLL to run.  If you downloaded
  31. the Shareware version of WinCraps from CompuServe, America Online, or the
  32. Internet you'll need to also download VBRUN300.DLL if you don't already
  33. have it (normally found in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory).  Since this
  34. file is common to many programs written for Windows, many services have
  35. included it in their libraries and asked that users retrieve it separately.
  36. One area Internet users may find VBRUN300.DLL is:  http://www.microsoft.com
  37. If you received WinCraps from another source, such as a distribution disk,
  38. then this file is included with the game files.

  40. Activating your Registered version:

  42. If you've registered WinCraps, you'll have to enter your name and
  43. registration number into the program after installation.  To do this, start
  44. the program and press "R" while the "About WinCraps" screen is present.
  45. Make sure you enter your name and number EXACTLY as they were provided to
  46. you - taking care to use the same upper and lower case letters as well as
  47. the same punctuation.  (Press the TAB key to move between the selections, 
  48. and press the ENTER key when you're done.)
