  17. ABOUT TIPTAP
  18. =============

  20. Welcome to TipTap Lite, a multimedia system providing a unique
  21. learning experience for children.
  22.  
  23. TipTap is a system designed to teach phonics and grammar as well
  24. as typing and handwriting skills. The user receives a combination
  25. of auditory, visual and tactile reinforcement. This is known as
  26. a multi-sensory approach to learning and is beneficial for all
  27. students, regardless of individual learning style.
  28.  
  29. Through beautiful and colorful animations, illustrations, creative music
  30. and sound-effects, systematic repetition, and reinforcement of correct
  31. responses, youngsters happily engage in an exciting learning experience.
  32. Lessons can be printed on either a dot matrix, laser or PostScript(tm)
  33. printer, allowing children to create their own illustrated spelling books
  34. for practice, and serving as a visible record of their accomplishments.
  35. Exercises are designed to be brief; repetition is encouraged.

  115. The first time a WinG application runs in a new video mode or after
  116. a new display driver has been installed, WinG performs a performance
  117. test to determine the fastest way to display graphics to your display.
  118. You will only see this performance test once for a any given video mode.
  119. On slower machines the test may last several minutes. WinG is part
  120. of the new Chicago (Windows 95) version of Windows graphical interface.
  121.  
  122. WinG version 1.0 provides the fastest graphics to screen capabilities
  123. under Windows 3.1, Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95, and
  124. Windows NT version 3.5+. WinG will not run on Windows NT version 3.1
  125. or on earlier versions of Windows.

  127. WinG requires a 386 or better processor to run.
  128. WinG will not run on a 286.
