*1 starting:
When you first start the program, you will be asked for the
parameters for a new game. Make the choices that you want, then click
on OK.
Dificulty: This is how hard the computer will play.
Practice mode: If the box is checked, the computer will return every shot,
and it will not keep the score. If the box is unchecked, the
computer will miss a certain percentage of the balls depending
on the dificulty level.
Play to: Type in the number of points you want to play to. After either
you or the computer reaches this number, the game ends and again
you will be asked for the parameters for a new game.
*2 playing
After clicking OK, a new game begins. Move the paddle (the big
circle around the mouse pointer) to where you want to serve from, and click
the mouse. The ball appears and flies towards the other side. It will
most likely be hit back, but if it doesn't, click again. (In wimp mode, it
may take a few tries before the ball is returned.)
When the ball comes back to you, move the paddle to where the ball
is going to hit. If you don't hit the ball right away, it will turn blue.
If you still don't hit the ball, it will go past you, and the computer will
win the point.
If the paddle is over the ball when it gets far enough back, it
will be hit back (you don't have to click the mouse this time). Keep
doing this until either you or the computer misses. Then, click again
to start an other point. (If the ball moves very slow on your computer,
and/or stops when you move the mouse, see the help section on slow
computers.)
*4 huh?
Pong 3D was created using Microsoft Visual Basic. It takes pong to a
new level, making it more like ping pong. This game is shareware so
please distribute it to your freinds. If you would like the full version,
read the help section on ordering the full version.
*5 ordering
Thank you for considering registering Pong 3D. For the low price of
$7.00 you can get the latest full version of Pong 3D with all the bug
fixes and improvements that I find after the shareware version is released.
That means all four difficulty levels, and no more annoying reminders to
register.
To register send a check or money order for $10.00, or $12.00 outside the US
