  1. LOGIC GAMES FOR KIDS for Windows, Version 4.0   
  2.    
  3. Purpose:  Logic Games for Kids provides fourteen programs 
  4. that challenge a child's thinking skills.  The programs are aimed 
  5. at Grades K through 8, but can be enjoyed by all.  Each 
  6. program in Logic Games for Kids has a number of playing 
  7. options to provide a large variety of game situations.  
  8.   
  9. Concentration is the classic card game where you search for 
  10. matching pairs of cards.  Simon Says is an echo game that 
  11. challenges memory skills-- repeat patterns of colors, 
  12. shapes, or pictures.  Codebreaker asks you to decipher a 
  13. multi-color code using clues from the computer.  Build a Wall
  14. and Jelly Beans are competitions between two players or 
  15. versus the computer.  In Build a Wall, you take turns adding 
  16. blocks to a wall trying to complete it.  In Jelly Beans, you 
  17. take turns removing beans from a jar and the one who takes 
  18. the last bean loses!  Awari is an ancient African pebbles-in-pits 
  19. game.  Logical planning skills are needed to collect pebbles from 
  20. the pits.

  22. In Drop Four, you try to line up four basketballs or soccer 
  23. balls by dropping them down a vertical playing grid.  In Row 
  24. of Five, the object is to line up five markers in a row on a 
  25. checker board.  Play against the computer (different 
  26. difficulties) or a friend.  In Reverse, by trapping your 
  27. opponent's playing pieces, they reverse color and become 
  28. your pieces.  The one with the most pieces at the end of the 
  29. game wins.  Play Checkers against a computer opponent.  The 
  30. computer isn't so smart that it can't be beat.  Slider Puzzle is the 
  31. classic puzzle where you arrange sliding tiles in order on a playing 
  32. board.  Twister Puzzle is a two-dimensional version of Rubik's cube.  
  33. Star Puzzle asks you to jump pieces on a star board to end up with 
  34. certain results.  In Peg Puzzle, you jump pegs on a cross-shaped 
  35. board removing each jumped peg - the goal is to match one of many 
  36. patterns.

  42. Visual Basic 4.0, 16 Bit Run-Time Files (most likely already
  43. on your machine)

  45. Installation:  
  46.  
  47. To install, run the SETUP.EXE program.  Make sure you install
  48. the programs in a different directory than the one containing
  49. the SETUP program.

  51. If SETUP does not operate properly, you need to install the 
  52. Visual Basic 4.0 16 Bit Run-Time files.  Follow these 
  53. instructions:

  58. 3.  You will be taken to a page with:
  59.     Visual Basic 4.0 16 bit Runtime Drivers v4.0
  60. 4.  Download this file.  VBR416.ZIP is written to your machine.
  61. 5.  Unzip file.  VBR416.EXE is expanded.
  62. 6.  Run VBR416.EXE - new files will be written to your machine.

  64. After this, try the SETUP program again.  If you need any help,
  65. just contact us - we can send you a disk with VBR416.EXE.

  67. Uninstall:  To uninstall the Logic Games for Kids programs, 
  68. simply delete the directory (folder) they are installed in.
