  17. Global Mines may be freely distributed as
  18. long as nothing is changed, added or removed.

  20. Global Mines is shareware. If you continue to use the game
  21. after you checked it out you should pay the shareware
  22. fee which is $7 US Dollars.

  25. for online registering.

  28. and non available features in the game.

  37. Global Mines is a new clone of the classic Minesweeper
  38. game which usually is included in Windows. However, the
  39. most important addition to Global Mines compared to the
  40. Microsoft Minesweeper is that Global Mines features the
  41. Global Hall of Fame. You can play and compete with people
  42. all over the internet!

  44. Global Mines includes all features of the MS Minesweeper
  45. game and a lot more...

  54. Installation:

  56. The archive is a zip file which needs a zip unarchiver to
  57. be unpacked. I suggest you use WinZip (www.winzip.com).
  58.  
  59. Do like this to install the game:
  60.  
  61.   - Open the archive with WinZip and extract all files to
  62.     the directory where you want the game.
  63.  
  64.   - Now you can start by clicking on the GlobalMines.exe
  65.     file, or go on to the next step...
  66.  
  67.   - Now click your Start button (bottom left corner) and
  68.     choose Taskbar... in Settings. Now choose the Program...
  69.     tab and use Add... Now go to the directory you put the
  70.     game in and choose the file GlobalMines.exe.

  72.   - Now you are finished!

  80. The reason why there is no installer in this version is that
  81. the file size would be around 800 kB instead of 200 kB if I
  82. used an installer. It's a very easy installation so I don't
  83. think it is necessary with an installer program.
