  1.                     Falling Balls 2.1 - shareware version

  3. Falling Balls v2.1 is one of Monty's Games from MG Software.  This Windows
  4. game is a one player game of strategy.  It has some similarities to tetris. 
  5. As groups of balls fall from the top of the playing field, you must rotate 
  6. and flip them into position so they form groups of the same color. These
  7. groups are removed and balls from above fall. You can pause the game at any 
  8. time, and you will need to pause it in order to study the layout of the 
  9. playing field.  You will need to think about the placement of the groups, 
  10. especially for the harder difficulty levels.

  12. A group must have the balls in a line, either horizontally, vertically or
  13. diagonally. When you play the harder levels there will be more colors and 
  14. it will be harder to form the groups. If a group has 4 or 5 balls of the 
  15. same color all in a row, you will receive a BONUS.  If you have a BONUS, 
  16. you can hit the 'B' key and all the balls in the bottom row will change to 
  17. the bonus color and all newly formed groups will be removed. You receive 
  18. 'turn-ups' after a designated number of balls are successfully dropped. If 
  19. you have a 'turn-up' you can hit the 'T' key and the entire playing field 
  20. will turn upside down, fall to the floor and all new groups will be removed.
  21. If you turn on 'CISCOS CAVE' you will be shown the 'next group', but you 
  22. will earn half the points while 'CISCOS CAVE' is on.

  24. There are 5 difficulty levels. As the difficulty goes up, the number of colors
  25. used for the falling balls also goes up. This makes it harder to form groups
  26. of balls. For all levels up to NUTZ you need 4 or more falls in a row to get
  27. a bonus (5 for a double bonus), but for the NUTZ level you will need 5 or more
  28. to get the bonus - very hard - need to think ahead.

  30. TOP-10 scores are recorded for all difficulty levels.
  31. F1 function key will display a help screen at any time.
  32. Soundcard support for music and sound effects.  Requires Windows 3.1 or 
  33. Windows 95, VGA, mouse, 671k on hard drive, 80386 or higher.
