**1. Getting Started**
**==================**
**a. How to Play Crazy Eights Deluxe**
**----------------------------------**
Crazy Eights, also known as Swedish Rummy and
Snooker is played with a standard 52 card deck.
There are many variations of this card game,
Crazy Eights Deluxe is one version.
The game starts with each player being dealt
seven cards, and one card face-up in the center.
The remaining cards form the playing deck.
A player has the option of taking a card from
the deck, or playing a matching card of the
same rank or same suit as the face-up or heap
card. For example, if the heap card is a 9 of
diamonds, a player can either play another 9
card, or a diamond card.
All 8s are wild, and can be played at any time.
The opponent must play another 8 card or a card
matching the new suit.
A player clicks on the Card Deck if they can not
match the Heap card, and a card from the deck will
be added to their hand. The player must continue
to draw a card from the deck until they have a
matching card, or an 8 card.
The goal of the game is to play until one player
has no cards left. If the card deck is gone play
ends.
SCORING: The player who runs out of cards first
scores the total of points left in the opponent's
hand. The 8s count 50, face cards 10, and all
other cards count 5 points. In a "blocked" game
the players total their points. The player with
the lowest hand scores the point difference
between the two hands. The first player to score
a total of 200 points wins.
