  7.     Bp Bomb Seeker is a puzzle game made for Windows 3.x and Windows 95.
  8.   The object of the game is to earn as many points as you can by discovering
  9.   where bombs are hidden (without setting them off) on each level.

  19.   current versions of the software and links to other fun programs.

  25.   SHAREWARE DEMO VERSION:

  27.     This program is shareware which means you may try it before you buy it.
  28.   Many hours go into creating programs and the shareware concept helps keep
  29.   the cost of packaging and distributing programs at a minimum. Please
  30.   support the shareware concept and if you use and enjoy a shareware program
  31.   let the author know by registering it so he/she may continue creating the
  32.   programs that entertain you.

  34.   DEMO LIMITATIONS:

  36.     Thank you for trying out BP Bomb Seeker Demo. I hope you find this
  37.   game as fun and addicting as I do. This demo is limited only by letting
  38.   you play as far as 2 levels. This should give you an idea of whether you
  39.   will enjoy it and please if you do enjoy this game consider registering
  40.   it. You can obtain a registered version which will let you play as many
  41.   levels as you can get to for as little as $6 (US). See 'How to Register'
  42.   below.

  44.   SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
  45.  
  46.     1. Any machine that can run Windows 3.x, Windows 95 decently. This
  47.   program was created on a 486 dx33 with 8 meg ram running Windows 95 and
  48.   has been tested on 386 machines running Windows 3.1, 486 machines
  49.   running Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 and several Pentiums.
  50.     2. 380,000 bytes free of hard drive space for the installation.
  51.     3. Mouse or Pointing device.
  52.     4. Vbrun300.dll in your \windows\system directory. Vbrun300.dll is
  53.        a library file windows systems need in order to run program written
  54.        in Visual Basic. Since most computers running Windows will already
  55.        have this file and since vbrun300.dll is readily available from
  56.        almost any source that has shareware files I have not included
  57.        this file with the demo.

  59.   INSTALLATION:
  60.  
  61.     Copy all setup files into a temporary directory and run the setup.exe
  62.   which will install the demo.
  63.  
  64.     WINDOWS 3.x - To run the setup.exe from Windows 3.1 or Windows 3.11,
  65.   from Program Manager click on FILE, RUN and then type the path to
  66.   setup.exe file. For example, if the files are on drive C: and in a
  67.   directory named TMP then you would type C:\TMP\SETUP.EXE and then click
  68.   on OK to begin the installation.
  69.  
  70.     WINDOWS 95 - To run the setup.exe from Windows 95 click on START, RUN
  71.   and type the path to the setup.exe file. Again, if the files are on
  72.   drive C: and in a directory named TMP then you would type C:\TMP\SETUP.EXE
  73.   and then click on OK.
  74.  
  75.     Setup will install the Bp Bomb Seeker Demo into a directory named \bpbomb.
  76.   Choose a drive and a directory that you wish to have the \bpbomb directory
  77.   created off of.

  79.     There are 2 color modes for Bp Bomb Seeker. 16 color mode and 256 color
  80.   mode. If you are unsure as to whether you are running windows in more than
  81.   16 colors then click 'No' during the installation process when prompted
  82.   for 256 color mode. (This setting can be toggled later while playing the
  83.   demo)

  85.     When installation is complete click on the Bp Bomb Seeker Demo icon and
  86.   have fun!

  89.   HOW TO REGISTER:

  91.   Congratulations! Most people don't read these files, but since you're here,
  92.   we suggest that you print this file to help you through the registration
  93.   process and for later reference.

  95.   Registrations for Bp Bomb Seeker are handled by Kagi Software.

  98.        If you have an internet account for which you can receive email you
  99.     can register Bp Bomb Seeker for as little as $6.00 (US). The registered
  100.     version will be sent to your internet email address. Click on the
  101.     "Register Bp Bomb Seeker" icon or while playing the demo click on
  102.     "Register Me!" on the menu bar and follow the instructions for the
  103.     type of registration you prefer.

  105.     3.5" FLOPPY DISK SENT TO YOU:
  106.        If you do not have an internet email account or you would rather
  107.     receive Bp Bomb Seeker on a 3.5" floppy disk registration is $6 plus $2
  108.     shipping and handling. ($8.00 US total)

  165.    Kagi Software does business via email . We receive postal mail, email,
  166.    faxes and phone calls, and process registration payments.
  167.    Kagi Software processes software product payments for several hundred
  168.    authors and their programs. We need for you to use the Register program
  169.    that came with the Bp Bomb Seeker Demo since most of the payment processing
  170.    is automated to keep costs low and frees us to help you when you need it.

  172.    How we can respond to you:

  174.    After processing we will send all registered users an email that will
  175.    give you more information about Kagi Software and your program.
  176.    Email and fax registrations will be sent an acknowledgment that we
  177.    received your registration request. Because of the low percentage that
  178.    Kagi Software charges for payment processing we will not respond with a
  179.    phone call, unless you have an "800" number or receive collect calls,
  180.    and we do not send faxes. The only mail that we send is postcard receipts
  181.    that have been paid for. Kagi Software is NOT a software publisher and
  182.    does not ship any product or return anything sent on disks. Kagi Software

  213.    The Register Application. 
  214.    
  215.    Your copy of the Bp Bomb Seeker Demo should come with a small program called
  216.    Register, which you use to create a personalized registration form to send
  217.    to Kagi Software. If you do not have the Register application, you should
  218.    download a fresh copy of the whole Bp Bomb Seeker Demo package because the
  219.    latest version of the Bp Bomb Seeker Demo includes the Register program.
  220.    
  221.    It is vital that you use the registration program since payments sent without
  222.    the registration form it generates can be delayed or lost.
  223.    
  224.    When you launch the Register program, a window appears asking for all the
  225.    necessary information. If you have previously registered a program through
  226.    Kagi Software your personal information will appear, double check to see
  227.    that it is right.
  228.    
  229.    You must provide a postal address, a US$1.00 extra charge, or an email
  230.    address,  so that we can contact you.  Please note that we do not reply
  231.    by FAX.
  232.    
  233.    * Type your name, postal address, and e-mail address in the corresponding
  234.    boxes at the top of the window.
  235.    * If you have no email address enter "none". 
  236.    
  237.    **** Special Note: If you do not have an e-mail address, you must check the
  238.    Postcard Receipt box (which automatically adds $1 to your charge) at the
  239.    bottom right of the window. Otherwise, you will not receive any reply to
  240.    your registration. You will be registered, but you will not have the
  241.    registered version. After the initial postcard receipt Kagi only replies
  242.    via email.
  243.    
  244.    * Then, fill in the payment details at the bottom left of the window.
  245.    Choose your method of payment from the pop up menu and complete the
  246.    relevant information (credit card number, type of currency, etc.) below.
  247.    Make checks payable to "Kagi Shareware." Checks must be in US Dollars only.
  248.    Please write the program name on the check as well as your email address,
  249.    if you have one. 
  250.    
  251.    * Note: Your credit card data is scrambled. Although this is not completely
  252.      secure, we have never had a case of credit card fraud.
  253.    
  254.    * Next, indicate the programs you want to register in the middle of the
  255.      window. Type the number of copies you want to register into the Single User
  256.      box. In most cases you should just type 1. Do not type the purchase price
  257.      into this box since the Register application computes the fee for you.
  258.    
  259.    * If you feel that the program is worth more than the registration fee,
  260.      you can add an optional bonus in the Bonus US$ box.
  261.    
  262.    * Note: If the Register application lists more than three programs, you
  263.      can use the scroll bar at the right of the window to see the others.
  264.    
  265.    Once you have filled in all this required information, the Register program
  266.    displays the total amount at the bottom right of the window.
  267.    Double check the total!
  268.    
  269.    Choose one of these three items.
  270.    
  271.    * Print...  prints a hard copy of the registration form, which you can 
  272.    mail to Kagi Software with your payment to the address shown on the form.
  273.    
  274.    * Copy...   puts a copy of the registration form on your clipboard for you to
  275.    paste into an e-mail message to send to Kagi Software. This method works only
  276.    with credit cards and First Virtual since it is not yet possible to email
  277.    cash or checks.
  278.    
  279.    * Save...   saves a copy of the registration to your hard disk as a
  280.    text document for you to print out or e-mail later. 
  281.    
  282.    Double check your registration request to see that all the information is
  283.    correct, if not, correct it using the Register program. Do not edit the
  284.    output produced by the Register program. The Kagi email and postal mail
  285.    addresses are given on the registration form and above. Save a copy for
  286.    yourself. We suggest printing it out. Note the author's email address.
  287.    
  288.    Kagi Software registration, how it works:
  289.    
  290.    After you register, Kagi Software automatically sends you an e-mail reply
  291.    titled 'Thanks for your registration'. You should print and save this
  292.    message as your receipt. If you checked the Postcard Receipt box in the
  293.    Register program, Kagi will send you a postcard with this information.
  294.    Again, if you do not have an e-mail address, you must request a Postcard
  295.    Receipt since otherwise you will not receive any reply.
  296.    
  297.    It can take Kagi up to a week to process a registration from the date
  298.    they receive it (please make sure to factor in the delivery time if you
  299.    use postal mail). If you do not receive the 'Thanks for your registration'
  300.    e-mail message, contact Kagi at <support@kagi.com> or the postal address
  301.    given on the registration form to ask about the status of your registration.
  302.    See *We need this data: above. Keep in mind that some registrations can
  303.    get lost in the mail on the way to Kagi. Please make sure to seal the
  304.    envelope and write your email address on the check. Also, sometimes the
  305.    e-mail reply gets lost as well (America Online is particularly unreliable
  306.    when it comes to receiving e-mail from the internet). If you do not receive
  307.    an email confirmation of your payment, contact us with the
  308.    "*We need this data:" from above and ask what happened.
