Outrageous!
Myriad recently received a copy of a
phone bill for an Illinois company
that sent us through the roof!
As if it wasn't bad enough that the
government screwed up the phone company
through deregulation (yes, I know, they
had to break up the monopoly), then
this comes along:
Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety
109 E. Main
Maroa IL 61756
Their phone bill is only $.72 a month!
What bullshit! The goverment can
do this for a company who has about
15 lines, a switchboard and computer
and data lines!
And we all know the rates they charge
use for things! How is it that the
phone company can charge us shy-high
rates for service and lower the
gov'ts bill for such a large system?
Could it be government paybacks? Is
there deals going on under the table?
You decide.
Maybe this is something we could
check into, just like the deal with
the bounced checks by our politicians.
Don't you think the government gets
enough breaks? Why doesn't the tax
payer get any breaks?
