  1.         The Number of The Beast

  4. This mod has changed so much since I 
  5. wrote the news file for the last issue 
  6. of the newsletter, I thought I'd let 
  7. you know the improvements I've made in 
  8. it. Even though it's changed so much, 
  9. it's still one awesome mod and will be 
  10. finished shortly..
  11.  
  12. o There aren't as many as commands as 
  13. before on the main menu but instead 
  14. spread over several different ones. 
  15. Some unneeded commands were dropped and
  16. several were added to spice up the 
  17. game..
  18.  
  19. o The SysOp has complete control of 
  20. everything that occurs.. He may edit 
  21. the different locations that Stalkers 
  22. may journey into as well as their 
  23. inhabitants and any landmarks within.. 
  24.  
  25. o Speaking of monsters.. There is now a
  26. horde of evil creatures the Stalkers 
  27. may have to get through in order to 
  28. slay The Beast.. Each different type is
  29. modifiable by the SysOp in the areas of
  30. names and power.. With all his editing 
  31. options, no two games will be the same!

  33. o All players' stats will be in REL 
  34. files so they'll be no extensive 
  35. directory additions to the drives.. 
  36. Don't worry, though, the SysOp may 
  37. still edit the Stalkers through the 
  38. maintenace menu if need be..
  39.  
  40. o There will be partitioning available 
  41. for either CMD or 1581 Drives.. 
  42. Optional for use by the SysOp if he 
  43. wishes..
  44.  
  45. o There are more Weapons and it now 
  46. includes Armor for combat which is 
  47. still going to be extraordinarily
  48. detailed yet still easy and fast 
  49. paced.. Stalkers may buy their 
  50. equipment or gain expertise in battle 
  51. in InBetween, the extra dimensional 
  52. realm between the worlds they may 
  53. visit..
  54.  
  55. o The Unimaginable Acts are Empire-like
  56. quests which Stalkers may perform in 
  57. order to gain more power.. Each one is 
  58. a mind boggling story that is shown on 
  59. completeion along with its prize..
  60.  
  61. o If the Stalkers didn't have enough 
  62. trouble with The Beast's creatures, 
  63. they're gonna hate the built-in NPCs 
  64. that will follow and ambush players 
  65. through space and time.. Each one has 
  66. it's own distinct personality that will
  67. frighten each plaer to its utmost.

  69. o But best of all, it will be a SINGLE 
  70. FILE mod.. No waiting for other 
  71. programs to load..
