  5. I know that many have wondered what 
  6. exactly has happenned with the longest 
  7. running C64/128 magazine ever...Well
  8. unfortunately early in the month of May
  9. The Chilton publishing company 
  10. (publisher of CGZ), which was owned by 
  11. ABC publications...Was purchased from 
  12. ABC by Omni Publications Inc. Omni is 
  13. one of the largest publishers in the 
  14. world, publishing such titles as
  15. Penthouse, Stereo Review, Motor Trend,
  16. The Sporting News, and many more...
  17. What Omni has done however is 
  18. discontinued both CGZ and Chiltons 
  19. EX-Amiga mag 'Amiga Resource'.  They
  20. stopped both publications after the 
  21. June 1990 issue.  Now they have claimed
  22. they are going to be combining the 
  23. three EX-Chilton mags (CGZ,Amiga Res.,
  24. & COMPUTE) into one 300+ page monthly 
  25. magazine to start with an October 
  26. issue...

  28. We sure wish the best of luck to this 
  29. venture but at the same time we must 
  30. say a very unfortunate goodbye to a 
  31. magazine which has VERY MUCH been a 
  32. part of the Commodore 8 bit computer 
  33. era!

  35. Now we are all left with RUN...Lets
  36. hope they can stick around!
