Quick-Docs by Ron Fetzer¢ ¢ ¢ The "CLEANUP" program is¢ designed to remove unwanted files¢ from your disk.¢ ¢ Menu option 1 the PRINT ¢ DIRECTORY will print the files on¢ the disk in a single column. Next to¢ each file it will print a line so¢ you can write a short sentence about¢ the program. It will not print¢ DOS.SYS, DUP.SYS or RAMDISK.COM.¢ This is usually the FIRST option¢ that would be used.¢ ¢ The menu options 2 to 5 are DOS¢ options that need no explanation.¢ You can use then with the wild card¢ symbol of *.* or ??? if you want¢ to. ¢ ¢ The menu option 6 is the one¢ you will use the most. This option¢ will LOAD ANY FILE expect graphics¢ files. It can read DOC FILES, ASCII¢ FILES, LISTED FILES, WORD PROCESSING¢ FILES, SAVED FILES and even ASSEMBLY¢ LANGUAGE FILES. ¢ ¢ Files stored with the "SAVE"¢ command are put on the disk in¢ tokenized form. This makes then¢ unreadable except that the strings¢ are not tokenized. Usually you will¢ obtain enough information from that¢ to identify the program. The same is¢ true of Assembly Language files. ¢ ¢ OPtion 7 formats a disk in¢ single or 1050 density and puts the¢ DOS.SYS on it. ¢ ¢ Option 9 is used if you have to¢ start again and designate a new disk¢ drive or a new density. ¢ ¢ The program stores itself¢ automatically in the Ram Disk D8. If¢ you do not have a Ram Disk remove¢ line 40 from the program. ¢ ¢ If you cannot identify a file.¢ BREAK the program. Run the file and¢ see what it is. To get the program¢ bak type: RUN "D8:CLEANUP.TUR" from¢ the Ram Disk D8. ¢ ¢ If you want this program to be¢ free standing on another disk copy¢ the file named "CLEANUP.TUR. Be sure ¢ it is on a TURBO BASIC disk. Call¢ the new file CLEANUP.ARB. On this new¢ disk be sure the file RANDISK.COM is¢ on it. ¢ ¢ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>END<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< ¢ ¢
