Recovery Procedure
==================
This document describes an alternate method of migrating 2.0 and
2.0.1 site files to 2.0.2.
NOTE: If you use this method, please be aware of the following
known issues:
1) Data Objects - will not import and will need to be added again.
In the case of an internal data object that contains picture fields,
the pictures will not appear in either the data list or the stacked
pages.
2) Custom Names of buttons and banners - will not import and will
need to be added again
3) Components - most will import. However, if some do not or if
some import and do not function correctly, delete them and add
them again. SiteMapper will not be able to be added again.
4) Anchors - text-based anchors may not import and will need to
be added again.
------------------
1 Make a new site based off Blank. You will be in Site View and will
have a single page called Home.
2 Import the .nod file as follows: choose the File | Import Section...
command, then in the Import Section dialog that appears, select the
Other option and click Browse. In the Open dialog that appears, change
Files of Type to .nod files, navigate to and select the .nod file.
Then click Open.
3 NetObjects Fusion 2.0 can import a .nod file (not just a .nft file).
However, because NetObjects Fusion's .nod file import does nothing
with assets, you must manually move your asset files into the appropriate
folders of the new site, then use the tools in Assets view to reset the
asset paths to reflect their new locations.
4 Once it imported, you will have 2 home pages. Go to the second home
page's Page View. Then select all and Edit | Copy.
5 Go to the top home page and click in the upper left hand corner of the
layout. Then select Edit | Paste.
6 To replenish the MasterBorders, choose the appropriate MasterBorder
from the drop down menu in the layout tab.
7 In Site view, move all the pages on the third level to the right of the
top Home page.
8 Once the second Home page has no children, click on it and press "Delete."
9 Go to Style view. If the style appears blank in the Style Gallery, select
File | Import Style, find and open the style's .ssf file, and it will be
imported into the current file.
10 Click on the style you imported and click "Set Style."
