Single USER LICENCE AGREEMENT
This is a legal agreement between you, the user, and Addison Wesley Longman Limited. By retaining this licence, any software media or written materials that accompany it or carrying out any of the authorised activities you agree to be bound by the terms of the licence agreement below. If you do not agree to these terms then promptly return the entire publication (this licence and all software media, written materials, packaging and any other components received with it) with your sales receipt, to your supplier for a full refund.
Addison Wesley Longman Limited provides this publication within the rules of the copyright and licences its use to the purchaser. This licence means that, unless you have written permission to the contrary:
YOU, THE PURCHASER, ARE AUTHORISED TO:
* Use (load into temporary memory or permanent storage) a single copy of the software on only one computer at a time. If this computer is linked to any network then the software may only be installed in a manner whereby it is not accessible to other machines on the network.
* Make one copy of the software solely for backup purposes or copy it to a single hard disk, provided you keep the original solely for backup purposes.
YOU MAY NOT:
* Rent or lease the software or any part of the publication.
* Copy any part of the documentation, except where specifically indicated otherwise.
* Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software.
* Make copies of the software, other than as detailed above.
* Use the software on more than one computer at a time.
* Install the software on any networked computer in a way that could allow access to it from more than one machine on the network.
* Use the software in any way not specified above without the prior written
consent of Addison Wesley Longman Limited.
LIMITED WARRANTY
Addison Wesley Longman Limited warrants that the software media are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for ninety (90) days from the date you receive them. This warranty is limited to you and is not transferable. Neither Addison Wesley Longman Limited nor the author(s) warrant that the functions of the software will meet your requirements or that the media is compatible with any computer system on which it is used or that operation of the software will be unlimited or error free.
You assume responsibility for selecting the software to achieve your intended results and for the installation of, the use of and the results obtained from the software. The entire liability of Addison Wesley Longman Limited and its suppliers and your exclusive remedy shall be (a) return of the price paid for the publication or (b) replacement of components that do not meet this warranty.
This limited warranty is void if any damage has resulted from accident, abuse, misapplication, service or modification by someone other than Addison Wesley Longman Limited. In no event shall Addison Wesley Longman Limited or its suppliers be liable for any damages whatsoever arising out of installation of the software or incompatibility with any computer system or technical limitation of the software or use or inability to use the software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Neither Addison Wesley Longman Limited nor the author(s) will be liable for any loss or damage of any nature suffered by any party as a result of reliance upon or reproduction of or any errors in any contents of the publication. Addison Wesley LONGMAN Limited reserves the right to terminate this licence by written notice to the purchaser, and take action to recover any damages suffered by Addison Wesley LONGMAN Limited if the purchaser breaches any provision of this licence.
