  1. This is the README.TXT file for
  2. Message Pad Unregistered v1.1, produced by
  3. Io Development.

  5. You are urged to read the LICENCE.TXT file
  6. included with the software before you begin the
  7. installation; in using the Setup software and the
  8. rest of the Message Pad software, you are agreeing
  9. to the terms outlined in the Licence Agreement.

  12. INSTALLING MESSAGE PAD
  13.  
  14. To run the Setup program and install Message Pad,
  15. click the Start button and select Run.  Type the
  16. following:
  17.  
  18. A:\setup.exe
  19.  
  20. Where 'A' is the letter of the disk drive (if a
  21. different letter is used for the disk drive, then
  22. type that letter instead of 'A'). Click the OK button.
  23.  
  24. From then on the Setup program will guide you through
  25. the rest of the process, prompting you for action when
  26. necessary.  The installation will require both of the
  27. Setup disks provided.  At the end of the installation
  28. process, Message Pad will be on your hard drive, ready
  29. for use.

  31. You are advised to keep or make safe copies of the
  32. Setup disks, to safeguard against accidental data loss.
  33. Unfortunately, Io Development cannot redistribute Setup
  34. disks to a registered user unless another registration
  35. is made.

  38. USING MESSAGE PAD
  39.  
  40. During the installation process, you will be asked to
  41. select a Program Folder for Message Pad.  This will be
  42. the place in the Taskbar Start Menu from where you can
  43. run Message Pad.  The default location for the Message
  44. Pad shortcut is the StartUp folder; shortcuts placed
  45. here will automatically load whenever Windows starts.

  47. When Message Pad is running, you have access to a help
  48. system that explains Message Pad's features and tools.
  49. To view this on-line help press the F1 key.
