This is a full-featured, registered version of Kurzweil VoicePadÖ for Windows« 95 Release 1.0.  You can use it for evaluation purposes for a period of 30 days.  Use of Kurzweil VoicePad after the 30-day evaluation period requires the purchase of a license.  You can purchase a license for Kurzweil VoicePad Release 1.0 for $49.95 by calling 1-800-380-1234.

  9. SOFTWARE OVERVIEW

  11. Welcome to Kurzweil VoicePad for Windows 95 Release 1.0. The following
  12. provides an overview of the product, a demonstration of its discrete
  13. dictation capabilities, and an opportunity to learn and practice Kurzweil
  14. VoicePad's basic editing commands.

  16. Kurzweil VoicePad is the world's first voice-enabled word processing 
  17. application to be distributed as shareware. It allows you to seamlessly 
  18. integrate voice input with the keyboard and mouse to provide a natural and
  19. intuitive approach to document creation.

  21. Kurzweil VoicePad allows you to create memos, letters, reports and other 
  22. documents simply by speaking to your PC. You can also format text, navigate 
  23. through the application's menus and dialogs, change the application's 
  24. settings, and preview and print documents using intuitive voice commands.
  25. In addition, Kurzweil VoicePad integrates continuous digit recognition with 
  26. its discrete speech recognition technology so users can quickly enter 
  27. telephone numbers, street addresses, dollar amounts, social security numbers
  28. and other numeric data.

  37. that the microphone is properly installed.  To turn the microphone on 
  38. and off, press CTRL and ALT at the same time.  You can also check online
  39. Help to learn about other ways to control the microphone. A green indicator 
  40. light in the Kurzweil VoicePad main window means the microphone is on, and 
  41. Kurzweil VoicePad is listening.  A gray indicator means that the microphone 
  42. is off, and that Kurzweil VoicePad is not listening.You should keep the microphone off unless you are speaking to Kurzweil VoicePad.
