Here are a few suggestions to help you configure your system to successfully run this demo.
MEMORY REQUIREMENTS
The game requires about 555 Kb of base memory in order to run. If you have difficulty starting up the game, you may need to modify your computer's config.sys and autoexec.bat files in order to free up some memory.
EMS memory:
The game needs at least 2848 kb of free EMS memory in order to run properly.
But, there are still some limitations:
- From 2848kb to 2944 kb of EMS memory, the game will run without the replay feature
and without the majority of the ambiance sounds. There may be delays during the close-up messages.
- From 2944 kb to 3136 kb of EMS memory, the replay feature becomes available but the
other restrictions remain.
- From 3136 kb to 3136 kb EMS + 2320 kb EMS (or XMS) the sounds are adversely
affected, so you might not have a reaction from the crowd when you score a goal, etc.
The game will run properly with about 5.5 Mb of free memory from which at least
3136 kb is EMS memory. This means that the memory between 3136 kb and 5500
kb could be also XMS.
SPEED LIMITATIONS:
On some 486 DX2 66 (50) Mhz computers, delays in gameplay could appear. You may be able to increase the game speed by configuring the game with the maximum available memory required. To do so:
- disable the replay feature.
- disable the tiny map displayed during the game by pressing the F7 key.
- disable the ambiance sounds
In this demo version, most of the options are not available.
