HUNTLEY UTILITIES
This program is copywritten and may not be copied, except for
your own use. After you have evaluated it for a short time, you must
register it. Failure to use it past 2 weeks without registering, is not
allowed. Send $29 to the above address. And you will receive a
lifetime of support, your name on the opening screen.
The program takes 180,934 bytes to run. You can run it on 1
drive, but need at least two drives to take full advantage of all the
features. Tested on CGA and monochrome monitor. Designed on MS-DOS
2.11, Tandy 1000HX, should run on any DOS. Binary screens load at Hex
B800 and B000.
The purpose of this program is to provide a menu to run
utilities and other programs without exiting to DOS, and without
typing filenames. Included are:
F1-HCOPY, can copy Word Perfect files and any other files that will
otherwise be destroyed with the DOS copy command.
F2-HEDIT, can edit any file. Displays Hexadecimal numbers, and ASCII.
F3-PROGRAM, can run any program on any directory. And then return. If
there is enough memory. If a program needs 256K to run and you only
have 256K, then it may not work. (180,934+262,140=443,074)
F4-HLABEL, can print 5 lines of 35 characters on standard 1" X 3 1/2",
1 across labels, and 2 7/8" X 3 7/8" Shipping labels. (Nebs
#1210-1CNC, (1-800-225-9550), Rapid Forms #DDCMSL2 (1-800-257-8354), or
equivalent.) To enter any character hold down the ALT key and enter
the decimal number on the key pad, then release ALT.
F5-UTILITY, can get a dir, change path, delete any file, change
directory, make directory, remove directory.
F6-CONFIG, can select printer port, select serial port, change drive,
change colors.
F7-EXIT, can shell to DOS to enter any DOS command, or exit the program.
Most of this is self explanatory. Every menu can be selected by
pressing the up and down arrow keys, and then by pressing <Enter>, or
by pressing the first letter.
Most sections tell you right on the screen what to do. In
most cases when you are asked to enter something, the <ESC> key will
bring you back to the Main Menu. If you find any bugs please report
them ASAP. Sending a screen print out would be nice. We will make
every effort to correct them.
Good luck, and have fun.
