 Command Post is still Command Post.  A programmable, fast, effective,
 and very powerful shell for the Windows environment.  It is text-based.
 It is designed to either replace or supplement both the Windows Program
 Manager and File Manager.

 Although the default menus supplied with Command Post are quite sufficient
 for many people, the real power of Command Post comes into play when you
 add your own menu items to it.  To do this, you *got* to print out all
 the documentation, curl up in an easy chair, and spend some time reading
 it.

 For those who prefer a more GUI oriented shell, more like File Manager,
 we offer our new File Commander.  With File Commander you can have most
 of the power of Command Post and your own menu items attached to the
 Windows File Manager menu.

 The big news for the 7.2 series of Command post is summarized simply as
 follows:

     Network Support
     Multimedia support

     SendKey capability
     Dialog Boxes
     Many more new functions

 All the new stuff is documented in the, appropriately, NEWSTUFF.TXT file.

 Of course the usual disclaimers still apply.  We are not

                       PACKING LIST:

 Most of the files will end in a $ until properly installed.  Some
 files have been compressed and will be decompressed by the setup
 program.

 CMDPOST  TXT    The disk-based manual.  Registered users get a
                 typeset, illustrated one.
 TASKMANR TXT    Instructions for installing TASKMANR.EXE
 CP__VER  ???    A dummy file.  ??? is the current version number.

 CMDPOST  CPM    MAIN menu file.  Normally you will not have
                 edit this file.
 CMDUSER  CPM    Sample USER menu file.  Once installed you
                 WILL have to edit thisfile  to configure it for
                 your system!
 CMDPOST  EXE    The main Command Post executable file.
 CP_DLLA  DLL    Required dynamic-link-library file.
 WWWDEALR DLL    Another dynamic-link-library file.
 CP_TREE  EXE    The Command Post tree.
 TASKMANR EXE    Optional replacement for the Windows 3.0 Task
                Manager.  Brings up Command Post when you
                 doubleclick on the screen background.
 WININFO  EXE    A utility to help determine window size and
                 position.
 CP_HELP  CRD    A cardfile with a mini-manual on it, accessible
                 from the Command Post main menu.
 CP_QUEST.CRD    Another cardfile of commonly asked questions.
 CP_VIRT  BAT    A BAT file for running DOS apps.  Can change the PATH.
 CP_PAUSE BAT    A BAT file that runs a DOS app and then pauses.
 CP_ATTR1 DLG    A Dialog box used by the default menus.
 CP_ATTR2 DLG    A Dialog box used by the default menus.
 BROWSER  EXE    File Browser Utility.
 WSETUP   EXE    The Windows-based setup program.
 WSETUP   INF    Information file for the setup program.
 WBINXZ   EXE    More of the Windows setup program.


               HOW TO INSTALL COMMAND POST 7.2

 Command Post is installed automatically, via our WSETUP.EXE
 program, as detailed below:


   1) Close down  >>>ALL<<< extraneous Windows applications.
   2) Make sure you closed down >>>ALL<<< of OUR other Windows apps.
   3) Double-Click on the WSETUP.EXE program
   4) When the setup program asks for a directory, specify initial directory,
      or accept the given default (C:\WINDOWS).

 NOTE:  If you are updating from a previous version, and made any of the
        Command Post files READ-ONLY, remove the read-only attribute from
        the files before running setup.
        (Or else the setup process will hang)

                    UN-INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

 If, for some reason you wish to un-install Command Post from your
 system, here is a checklist for doing so.

 1) Examine the SYSTEM.INI file.  If you manually installed Command Post
    as your primary shell (See Docs), you must edit the SYSTEM.INI file.
       Change
           shell=cmdpost.exe
       to
           shell=progman.exe


 2) Examine the WIN.INI file.  If Command Post starts automatically...
       Change
           run=cmdpost.exe
       to
           run=
   If there is other stuff on the run= line, you probably want to
   leave it there.  Just delete the cmdpost.exe from the run= line.

 3) Delete the following files from the directory that Command Post was
    installed into.
        cmdpost.exe
        cp_dlla.dll   (From the Windows Directory)
        cp_tree.exe
        browser.exe
        wininfo.exe
        cp_blnk.exe
        cp_help.crd
        cp_quest.crd
        cp_info.exe
        cp_virt.bat
        cmdpost.cpm
        taskmanr.exe   NOT TASKMANG.EXE OR TASKMAN.EXE !!!
        cmduser.cpm  (you may want to keep a copy around, esp. if you
                      have put some work into this file.)



4) That should do it.

                    ON-LINE SUPPORT

 Command Post is has on-line support!

 The home of Command Post is on Compuserve, in the WINAPA forum,
 in the Wilson WindowWare section (#15 currently).  Also the
 latest and greatest downloads are available from DL15 of the
 WINAPA forum.  The Wilson WindowWare section of the WINAPA forum
 is checked on a daily basis, and all questions will be responded to.

 Some of our developers also watch the FidoNet Windows echo which can
 be found on many of you local BBS's.  Contact to local FidoNet sysop
 about getting access to the Windows Echo.

                     CHANGES TO THE MANUAL


 In the Window 3.0 appendix we tell you how to replace
 Windows 3.0's Task Manager with Command Post.  Microsoft
 has since renamed Task Manager to "Task List".  The Command
 Post version of the may be found in the \CP-NOTES directory
 with the file name TASKMANR.EXE (If you used our install program).
 If you used the manual install, you can find it in the temp
 directory you used.

 SOFTWARE LICENSE

 Command Post is not and has never been public domain
 software, nor is it free software.

 Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use
 Command Post on a 21-day trial basis for the purpose of
 determining whether Command Post is suitable for their
 needs.  The use of Command Post, except for the initial
 21-day trial, requires registration.  The use of
 unlicensed copies of Command Post by any person,
 business, corporation, government agency or any other
 entity is strictly prohibited.

 A single user license permits a user to use Command Post
 only on a single computer.  Licensed users may use the
 program on different computers, but may not use the program
 on more than one computer at the same time.

 No one may modify or patch the Command Post executable
 files in any way,  including but not limited to
 decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise reverse
 engineering the program.

 A limited license is granted to copy and distribute
 Command Post only for the trial use of others, subject
 to the above limitations, and also the following:

  1)    Command Post must be copied in unmodified form, complete
        with the file containing this license information.

  2)    The full machine-readable Command Post documentation must
        be included with each copy.

  3)    Command Post may not be distributed in conjunction with
        any other  product with out a specific license to do so
        from Wilson WindowWare.

  4)    No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested or
        accepted, except as authorized below:

        A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems (sysops)
           may make Command Post available for downloading only as
           long as the above conditions are met.  An overall or
           time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin board
           system is permitted as long as there is not a specific
           charge for the download of Command Post.

        B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software approved by
           the ASP may distribute Command Post, subject to the
           above conditions, without specific permission.  Non-
           approved vendors may distribute Command Post only after
           obtaining written permission from Wilson WindowWare.
           Such permission is usually granted.  Please write for
           details (enclose your catalog).  Vendors may charge a
           disk duplication and handling fee, which, when pro-rated
           to the Command Post product, may not exceed eight dollars.

        C) Non-profit user groups may distribute Command Post,
           subject to the above conditions, without specific permission.
           Non-profit user groups may charge a disk duplication fee,
           which, when pro-rated to the Command Post product, may not
           exceed five dollars.

  LIMITED WARRANTY

  Wilson WindowWare guarantees your satisfaction with this
  product for a period of 60 days from the date of original
  purchase.  If you are unsatisfied with Command Post
  within that time period, return the package in saleable
  condition to the place of purchase for a full refund.

  Wilson WindowWare warrants that all disks provided are
  free from defects in material and workmanship, assuming
  normal use, for a period of 90 days from the date of
  purchase.

  Wilson WindowWare warrants that the program will perform
  in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
  with the software product.  If a significant defect in
  the product is found, the Purchaser may return the
  product for a refund.  In no event will such a refund
  exceed the purchase price of the product.

  EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, WILSON WINDOWWARE DISCLAIMS ALL
  WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
  LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
