┌───── HCOPY.EXE copyright Hilgraeve 1991 ────── Patent Pending ──────┐
│ HyperCopy may be copied and distributed free for noncommercial use. │

│ which are sold requires written authorization from Hilgraeve. │
└────────────────────────── Version 1.5 ──────────────────────────────┘
HyperCopy is provided free to help you defend yourself against computer
viruses, and to demonstrate the HyperGuard virus filter technology that
Hilgraeve has incorporated in the HyperACCESS/5 communications program.
HyperCopy uses HyperGuard to prevent known viruses from entering as
you copy files into your PC. HyperACCESS/5 goes two steps further.
It prevents viruses from entering as you receive files through your
modem, and gives you the ability to scan for viruses which may
already be present. This is just one of the many reasons to consider
HyperACCESS/5, which magazines rate #1 against Crosstalk, Smartcom,
and Procomm. For more information, please call (800) 826-2760.
Use HyperCopy just as you would the DOS COPY command. That is, at
the DOS prompt, enter HCOPY followed by the source filename and
destination filename, which can include drive and/or directory
names, * and ?, and /A, /B, and /V.
As data is copied, it passes through HyperGuard, a real-time virus
filter so fast and efficient that it scarcely impacts the speed of
file copy operations. HyperACCESS/5's file transfer protocols use
HyperGuard as well, while remaining faster than competing programs.
If HyperCopy detects a virus, it identifies it by name, and offers
to abort the copy and purge the source file. Purging overwrites the
file with zeros, then deletes it, so the virus cannot be
accidentally restored by file recovery utilities. (NOTE: Viruses in
files packed with ARC, PKARC, or other compression programs can be
detected only after the files are unpacked.)
HyperCopy detects more that 300 different viruses by using data from
IBM, whose efforts to collect and identify viruses are unparalled.
While HyperCopy identifies only known viruses, the odds of hitting a
new virus are 10,000 to 1, according to virus experts. The vast
majority of infections are from viruses that have had years to spread.
Please call Hilgraeve's BBS today at (313) 243-5915 (8 data bits, no
parity, 1 stop bit) and register as a HyperCopy user. Registering
costs nothing and entitles you to download free HyperCopy updates.
You can even order HyperACCESS/5 at a discount or get a rebate coupon
that you can redeem after you buy HyperACCESS/5 from any dealer.
DISCLAIMER
You assume all responsibility for the selection of HyperCopy to achieve
your intended results, for installation and use of the program, and
for corrective action when suspected viruses are detected.
Hilgraeve assumes no responsibility for your safety and no liability
for damage due to viruses. There may be viruses now or in the
future that defy present means of detection. Regardless of the
antivirus software you use, you should continue to use appropriate
backup procedures and physical security measures.
