  1. Q:   When I export a document from TeleMagic to an external Word Processor
  2.      there is a strange character at the end of some of the lines!  How can
  3.      I get rid of it?

  6. A:   "That `strange character' is the symbol that TeleMagic (and WordStar) 
  7.      uses to represent soft carriage returns.  What external word processor
  8.      are you using?
  9.

  11.      WordPerfect
  12.      -----------
  13.           Instead of importing the document with Ctrl-F5, just retrieve it
  14.      with Shift-F10.  WordPerfect will realize that the document it is
  15.      retrieving is not a WordPerfect document and will automatically
  16.      convert it to the WordPerfect format.  The conversion routine that
  17.      WordPrefect uses when you touch Shift-F10 is slightly different than
  18.      the routine it uses when you touch Ctrl-F5.  With Shift-F10 the 
  19.      TeleMagic soft carriage returns will be replaced by WordPerfect soft
  20.      carriage returns.

  25.           The character is the symbol that TeleMagic (and WordStar) uses
  26.           to represent a soft carriage return.  Unfortunately your word
  27.           processor can not understand it.  In this case there are three
  28.           things you can do:

  30.           1)  Before you export your TeleMagic document, make sure there
  31.               is a hard return at the end of each line.
  32.  
  33.           2)  Once you have ithe document in your word processor you can
  34.               manually remove the character.

  43.               They have a simple program called "Word-Fix" That will go  
  44.               through your TeleMagic document and automatically replace all
  45.               the soft returns with hard carriage returns that Word can  
  46.               understand.
