  1. Q:  Why can't I add more than 127 User Defined fields on my V12         
  2.     professional version?  The documentation said that you can add 1000 
  3.     User Defined Fields.

  6. A:   "On a Professional with security turned off, you are limited to 100
  7.      User Defined fields plus the standard 27 fields.  In order to add
  8.      more fields than this, all you need to do is turn the security on.
  9.  
  10.      To do this all you have to do is type "magic secure" at the DOS
  11.      prompt.  From then on, every time you start TeleMagic (with either
  12.      "TM" of "magic") you will be asked to enter a User ID and a
  13.      password.

  15.      "The default User ID is "$$$" with a password of "V12".  In order to
  16.      add your own User ID, you will need to run the Installation Program
  17.      from the orginal Diskettes.  
  18.  
  19.      "From the Main Menu of the Installation Program select Database
  20.      Utilities, Add a New user.  The Source user will be "$$$" and the
  21.      path you enter will be the location of the TeleMagic program files. 
  22.      The Target user is where you would enter your new User ID and you
  23.      would give it the path to your TeleMagic directory.  The password
  24.      for your new User ID will be the same as for the $$$ User ID until
  25.      you enter a new password in Other Options, Master Controls,
  26.      Secuirty.  (see your V12 Reference Manual for more information on
  27.      changing passwords and adding Users).

  29.          Once you have turned Security on, then you will need to go
  30.      into Master Controls, Security Controls Menu.  The 7th field on
  31.      this screen is `Maximum number of User Defined Fields Allowed'
  32.      and will be set at 100.  You will want to increase this number
  33.      to the number of additional fields you need.  Please remeber that
  34.      additional field place a dramtic drain on your disk space and
  35.      especially on the computer's memory (RAM).  Do not increase this
  36.      number any more than you have to!
