TITLE : WORDWRAPPING A FIELD
In order to wordwrap a field in a Paradox report or form, please
do the following:
1. Reformat the field to the maximum size you want the first
line of the wrap to be. For example, if you have a 255
char field and want it to appear as 4 lines on a report,
set the field mask to 64 characters (255/4=64 rounding
up). The idea is to display only those characters that
make up the first line of the wrapped lines.
2. Select <F10> <F>ield <W>ordwrap. Place the cursor on the
field to be worwrapped when prompted. Pres <ENTER>
3. Enter the number of lines you wish the field to wrap onto.
This would be 4 in the example above.
SOME THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR
1. If you are designing a form, make sure there are not fields
or text located in the area under the wrapped line. In our
example, we would make sure the 3 lines under the placed field
are totally blank.
2. Wordwrap should not be used side by side with other fields or
text.
3. If you want to preserve blank lines in a report specification
below a wordwrapped field, type the keyword BLANKLINE at the
beginning of the line.
