  9.         THIS UPLOAD  should contain HALLFAME.TXT, README.HOF and this
  10.         └─────────┘  SYSOP.NOT.  Adding BBS advertising and Comments
  11.         to ZIP files is common so finding some I didn't put here
  12.         should come as no surprise.  I don't want them but there's not
  13.         much that can be done.  Cruel, cruel world.  CHEERS! in
  14.         Memphis, TN, and CAVU in Charlottesville, VA, are both home
  15.         boards for this file.

  18.         UPDATES  will always be named HOFmmyy.ZIP and there will
  19.         └─────┘  never be two in one month.  By all means delete any
  20.         old editions when a new one comes along.  Nominations to the
  21.         Freeware Hall of Fame are always encouraged and new editions
  22.         are cumulative, with all the old entries plus the new ones.

  25.         NOMINATIONS  to this list come from folks like you through
  26.         └─────────┘  Ilink's Sysop or Shareware Conferences or via the
  27.         FHOF home boards.  Address them to Rey Barry, the compiler of
  28.         the list. Further info on nominations is in the README file.

  35.         SOMETHING FOR  On the CAVU and CHEERS! boards are Directories
  36.         │  SYSOPS   │  devoted exclusively to HOF Freeware programs
  37.         └───────────┘  and nothing else. It is DIR 39 on CHEERS! and
  38.         DIR 18 on CAVU. They consist of 90 or so ZIP packets at this
  39.         point, occupying over 2 megs.  We have that entire file base
  40.         and a PCBoard directory with full descriptions available on 3
  41.         diskettes if you would like to provide a DIR for the ON-LINE
  42.         FHOF on your Board.  Just leave word in the Main Conference on
  43.         CHEERS! or CAVU or in the SYSOP Conference on any ILINK
  44.         Network BBS. It's free. The FHOF never charges.

  47.         TO GET IT  We sent out 6 sets for circulation in the US and
  48.         └───────┘  2 in Europe in 1991.  The sets are forwarded from
  49.         one Sysop to another. If you let us know you want it we'll put
  50.         you on the list. When it arrives, copy it to your HD and send
  51.         the set on to the next Board, when you hear of one wanting it.
  52.         If you still have the disks after six months, keep them as
  53.         newer sets will be in circulation.

  56.         NO ADS OR  There are no comments and no ads as we circulate
  57.         COMMENTS?  the set and we insist that none be put on the
  58.         └───────┘  circulation disks, though what you do to the
  59.         packets copied to your harddrive is your business. All the
  60.         packets left here Read Only and the disks are write-protected.
  61.         If you find any comments or ads on the circulation disks, they
  62.         couldn't be there by accident. Let us know and we will see
  63.         that the offender receives widespread publicity as someone not
  64.         to be trusted.

  67.         ZIPPED &  Programs are tested, scanned with McAfee's current
  68.         SCANNED?  SCAN, and compressed under maximum compression with
  69.         └──────┘  PKZIP before going out. We do not use -AV.
