  2. ║ A new access key algorithm was introduced with version 2.00.  If     ║
  3. ║ you've already purchased a key for an earlier version, then there's  ║
  4. ║ no charge to obtain a new key.  You can do this one of two ways:     ║
  5. ║                                                                      ║
  6. ║ (1) By using the OPEN command on our BBS to run the "Upgrade" pro-   ║
  7. ║ gram that will generate your new access key online.  This program    ║
  8. ║ will ask for your registration name, corresponding access key, and   ║
  9. ║ the name of the city in which you live.  If this data matches our    ║
  10. ║ customer database, then the program will give you a new key online.  ║
  11. ║ The KSP BBS can be reached by calling (415) 364-9847 Monday through  ║
  12. ║ Friday between 5pm and 8am, or 24 hours on weekends.                 ║
  13. ║                                                                      ║
  14. ║ (2) By sending us self-addressed stamped envelope.  Enclose your     ║
  15. ║ registration name, corresponding access key, and where you purchased ║
  16. ║ your key.  If this data matches our customer database, we will send  ║
  17. ║ your new access key back to your in the envelope you provide.        ║

  19. ║ If you've never purchased an access key, you can do so by printing   ║
  20. ║ out the file ORDERFRM.DOC and sending it to one of our distributors. ║

  23. A new "PHYSICAL" option is now REQUIRED (!) on the LASTBYTE.SYS
  24. command line to specify the particular memory controller, as in
  25. PHYSICAL=82C302.  The automatic detection of memory controller
  26. chipset type has been removed because it caused some motherboards to
  27. "lock up".

  29. Some options (chipset) numbers have been changed by adding a two
  30. letter prefix in front of them to designate their manufacturer.  This
  31. became necessary when different manufacturers began to make
  32. incompatible chipsets with the same part number.  The affected
  33. chipsets are those made by ETEQ, Forex, Symphony Laboratories,
  34. Suntac, Texas Instruments, United Microelectronics (UMC), and VLSI
  35. Technology.  You can determine the proper parameter for the Physical
  36. option by running the CHIPSET program.
