  1. This set of files was developed over a number of years for the Amateur Radio
  2. classes I teach each year.  I have been giving 20 - 25 questions each week to
  3. the students as homework and have found that those who take the time and
  4. effort to complete the questions have no problems with the theory portion of 
  5. the exam when it is written.  As the instructor it also provides me with some 
  6. feedback as to whether a section has not been covered well enough.  The data
  7. files are divided by subject and as a subject is taught those questions can 
  8. added to the list used by the program.  There is provision to purge the main
  9. list and start over for each new class as well as the ability to add, change
  10. or delete questions if desired.

  12.         There should be 18 data base files as follows, AMPLIFIE.DB 
  13. ANTENNAS.DB  CAPACITO.DB  DIODES.DB  INDUCTOR.DB  LISTS.DB  MAINMENU.DB
  14. MODULATI.DB  OSCILLAT.DB  PROPOGAT.DB  PSUPPLIE.DB  QUESTION.DB  RECEIVER.DB
  15. REGS.DB  RESISTOR.DB  SSB_FM.DB TRANSIST.DB AND TRANSMIT.DB    There should
  16. also be one script file "HAMTEST.SC".  If any of these files are missing the
  17. script file will not work properly.

  19.         System Requirements.

  21.         Paradox or Paradox Run Time package
  22.         
  23.         IBM compatable computer.  I have tested it on 286, 386 and 486
  24.         machines with no problems noted.  I haven't tried it with a
  25.         mono monitor so don't know what it will look like.

  27.         Feel free to upload this package to your local bulletin board, but
  28.         please leave all files intact and including this readme file.  If 
  29.         you have Paradox or Paradox run time feel free to use it.  A comment
  30.         as to how you like it would be appreciated.  If you do not have
  31.         Paradox or the runtime package,  the Paradox Run Time package can be 
  32.         obtained from me for  $10.00 to cover postage handling etc.  I will 
  33.         also include on the disk the latest version with latest revised 
  34.         question lists as I am constantly revising these.
