  1. TTINFO - A TRUETYPE UTILITY
  2.  
  3. TTINFO reads a TrueType file designed for Microsoft Windows 3.1 and
  4. dumps the Windows specific information in the 'name' table of the file.
  5. Included in the information dumped are the copyright and trademark
  6. information of commerical TrueType typeface files.
  7.  
  8. All known typeface conversion programs are supposed to leave the
  9. original copyright and license information intact when renaming or
  10. converting a typeface from one format to another.  The only known
  11. exception is AllType 1.0.  It replaced the copyright and trademark
  12. information with its own copyright and trademark.  This is illegal and
  13. later versions of Alltype do not alter the information if it is present.

  15. If TTFINFO reports (null) for any of the 'name' table entries, it means
  16. that the TrueType font file does not contain that component in Windows
  17. format.  According to the Microsoft TrueType specifications, Windows
  18. uses the the Font Full Name to identify a typeface to the user.

  26. liability for damages, direct or consequential, which may result from
  27. the use of or inability to use TTFINFO."

  29. TTFINFO is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge to you for
  30. evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your friends, but please do not
  31. give it away altered or as part of another system.  TTFINFO is not free!
