TABLOID, a page half the size of a broadsheet.
TINT, a flat area made up of dots or lines.
TIP IN, an illustration pasted onto a page after printing.
TRIM, to cut the edges of a folded sheet to page size or the edges
themselves.
TRIMMED SIZE, the format to which a publication is finally cut.
TYPEFACE, a letterform specifically designed to be made up into words
and sentences. More than just an alphabet. Technically the actual
design or shape of the letterforms themselves.
TYPESCALE, a ruler marked in points, ems, and ens.
TYPO, a misprint.
TYPOGRAPHY, the practice (or art) of arranging type and the study of
type forms.

UNJUSTIFIED, text set flush left with the right hand edge uneven.
UPPER CASE, capital letters.
-V-
VERSO, left-hand page.
-W-
WATERMARK, design added to some papers during manufacture. Usually to
identify the paper manufacturer.
WHITE SPACE, blank areas on a page.
WIDOW, a short line at the end of a paragraph, appearing at the top of
a page. (an ORPHAN is a short line at the bottom of a page).
WORD SPACE, the space between words in a line.
WOVE, an uncoated paper without laid lines.

X-HEIGHT, (type) the height of the lowercase letters from the
baseline.
