  2.  ADVISER is an electronic marketing tool.  Traditional promotional items, such 
  3.  as calendars, convey information and display a company advertisement.  Adviser,
  4.  like a calendar, contains information useful to your customer and also displays
  5.  a full screen advertisement.

  7.  You create Adviser programs with custom information specific to your industry
  8.  or service.  Or, let the customer add information to make their own Adviser.   
  9.  Whenever someone runs the program to access the information, your ad displays
  10.  on their computer screen.

  49.  INFORMATION SCREENS

  51.  Adviser holds up to 5 Screen Pages (24 rows by 80 columns) of text information
  52.  that can be displayed in two different modes.  
  53.  
  54.  Page Mode....  In this mode the Page Up and Page Down keys are used to move
  55.  through the information screens.
  56.  
  57.  Menu Mode......  In this mode the Screen Page to view is selected from a Menu.

  59.  A-Ware(sm) ADVERTISING SCREEN
  60.  
  61.  The A-Ware Screen is displayed at the beginning and end of the program, it is
  62.  hard coded into ADVISER.EXE and MAKEPROG.EXE by Advance Systems and becomes a
  63.  permanent part of the programs.  The A-Ware Screen has many available options. 
  64.  Multicolor screens, blinking words, windows and more.  Advance Systems will

  68.  MASTER DISK FORMAT
  69.  
  70.  The Adviser Marketing System, complete with your A-Ware advertisement, includes 
  71.  unlimited license to copy and distribute the programs worldwide in any form.   
  72.  Upload onto computer bulletin boards, copy to hard drives and diskettes.  
  73.  MAKING AN ADVISER PROGRAM
  74.  
  75. Create an ASCII file with the information for the Screen Pages.  Each Page must
  76. be 24 lines long. The first 24 lines of the file are Screen Page 1, the next 24
  77. lines are Screen Page 2 and so on, up to Screen Page 5. A line is 80 characters.

  79. Copy the ASCII information file into the same directory as the ADVISER.PRG and
  80. MAKEPROG.EXE files from the Adviser distribution disk.

  82. Enter MAKEPROG followed by a blank space and the name of the ASCII information
  83. file at the DOS prompt.  First you will see the A-Ware Screen, next you will be
  84. asked if you want to setup a menu for the Adviser program.

  86. If you answer NO, a custom version of ADVISER.EXE is created in Page mode.
  87.  
  88. If you answer YES, a blank menu is displayed.  Fill in the Menu Labels for
  89. Screen Pages 1 through 5, then Save.  A custom version of ADVISER.EXE is created
  90. in Menu mode.  If you Cancel at this point, a Page mode version is made.

  92. Copy ADVISER.EXE to a directory in the PATH as set in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file.  
  93. Enter ADVISER at the DOS prompt to run the new Adviser program.

  95. Upon registration of the software, your customized A-Ware Advertising Screen is
  96. hard coded into the MAKEPROG and ADVISER programs by Advance Systems.
