Hard Drive Saver
Have you ever wondered how long your hard drive would last especially
if you use your computer alot or RUN A BBS system ?
Well ,I have the answer to your prayers. All hard drives are rated in MTBF,
which means, Mean time before failure. So here you are, you've just bought
a Hard drive for $400.00 and already they are telling you this drive is going
to fail !!. If you download the specifications for your particular HD, you
will find out what the MTBF is for your type HD or call the manufacturer.
Most real good drives are rated at 75,000 hours before failure and less
expensive drives are rated at alot less.
What I'am offering is a way to triple the MTBF so if your drive is rated at
50,000 hours we can now get at least 150,000 hours out of it ,thats the least
it will get but in most cases it is alot more, so instead of your hard earned
money paying for a drive that they are telling you will at best only last 5
years ,we can now make that drive last 15 years or better. This means you don't
have to worry about it now so much. By the way , Hard drives are going up in price
and getting harder to come by especially drives that are over 100 meg or even
worse 200 megs.
Ok, enough of the jargon. What I would like to tell you about is this
circuit that I have designed as I'am an electronic enginneer and I decided
that I did'nt like the fact that while I was running my BBS system, I was always
wondering how long my Hard drive was going to last running all the time and
I saw that the new notebook type computers had a similar circuit that would
shut down the Hard drive after a specified amount if time if the HD didn't need
access in order to save on the battery life.
Then if the HD requires access , the HD will start up and access the
file if needed, the only thing is that it takes an extra second to access the HD
initially but it's worth it especially if you run a BBS you won't notice any
difference at all over the phone line and this can work on a network as well.
Anyway the HARD DRIVE SAVER is what I call it and the device will mount in any
computer and is pretty small, there are different types, so you must specify
which type Hard drive you have, I don't need the size only the type as in:
MFM
SCSI
ESDI
RLL
IDE
These are the five models and I need 2 to 3 weeks to ship as I started out
and sold this product to a manufacturer for 295.00 a piece and decided to let
everyone in on it cause I guess they ( the manufacturer) is only using it in their
own product.
So, the prices are below and what to do..................
THE HARD DRIVE SAVER
TYPE DRIVE ASSEMBLED and Intructions
MFM....................$99.95................
RLL....................$99.95................
SCSI...................$119.95...............
ESDI...................$119.95...............
IDE....................$95.95................
Above are tassembled product ready to install which should
only take about 10 minutes to install and your ready to go!!
If you are interested in this product ( The Hard Drive Saver), Then please

and expense not to mention research went into this.
